Just wondering how many others were sent a letter to respond to this? I got one after the previous census also.

Wish they'd take me off their list.

They say it must be completed. My copy of the constitution says different.

They send out 3.5 million letters annually and it’s supposed to be random and they are supposed to take steps to avoid sampling a household more than once every 5 years.

It’s okay to tell them no or ask to be removed from their list.

Personally, I like to make stuff up and make it useless to them. Haven’t heard from them in over a decade.

It's a statistical sampling of the populace, conducted apart from the normal decennnial.

Don't engage in any manner whatsoever if you don't want to fill it out.

Just ignore them. They can’t force you to participate and with all of the illegal aliens one American here or there not being counted doesn’t matter anyway.

My supervisors in the 2010 and 2020 decennials were ACS in the off years.

They were freaking GOOD at what they did. Your only hope is not to engage in any way, shape or form.

If they tackle you in the driveway, tell them you're house-sitting.

You have to train yourself not to answer the door.

Many people have trained themselves to not answer the phone.

Notably, the older set still has trouble with that one, which is why they're victims of phone scams more than other age brackets.

I worked for the Census Bureau in ‘20 and ‘21. Many people don't know that it's a permanent division of the Department of Commerce.It's main task is the decennial Census but it's also continuosly gathering and compiling statistics on the country's people and economy.
