I think that in her exuberance, Cathie completely and totally and most importantly historically missed the point. She sees a forest but doesn’t look at what’s there. She is merely writing what lots and lots of more knowledgeable people are reporting on You Tube. She is regurgitating You Tube
Rather than failing, China is changing. The change is fantastically tremendous in scope. What she sees as collapse is actually transition. The failure and destruction and ouster of capitalism, entrepreneurship, massive family business enterprises and wealth in general is being destroyed because it must be destroyed and taken over by the government.
President Xi acting as the Communist Party is remaking “China Socialism”. China Socialism is Xi’s description of what is in process. It is a new breed of socialism that is not really communism but socialism built on cast off capitalist structures.
There are innumerable examples of specific businesses that are failing and will be revived by the CCP under national ownership. Xi is in effect attempting to nationalize the economy. He is taking over failed businesses and running them as state enterprises.
The most prominent and widely reported instance is real estate. Evergrande et al. These enterprises have insurmountable debt that is killing them since the banks on which they depend no longer will loan them money and outside investers are driven off. Ther are unsurveyable assets. So, the CCP in the form of corporations is stepping in and cherry picking the assets to own and manage.
Americans and Germans and Japaneese and korean and on and on have left or are leaving. They are being replaced in time and as needed by the same companies under state control. Xi does not need the world........ he has the CCP to replace it.

China has a plan, the same plan all totalitarian governments eventually default to.
The plan is two-fold: territorial aggrandizement on land, and brigandage by sea.
They will continue harassing their neighbors, seizing vulnerable pieces of land and spreading their influence abroad. However, the ‘Road and Belt Initiative will dominate their actions.
China is playing GO while our leadership is playing chutes and ladders.
They will start a war first to try to keep control.

And China won’t be making a move on Taiwan until much much later if at all.
Meanwhile our media ignores Biden and this administrations horrendously terrible performances daily. They don’t follow through and investigate anything....rather suppresses what we should know.
If all this happens, China may be even more dangerous because they will be desperate.
A lot of our national debt is tied to China.
Cancel it along with a thank you note to them about COVID.
