This feud just reached the tipping point as the media reports and stories are coming in like an avalanche on a daily basis. AND, people are arguing about it, yep, it's causing division and animosity and arguments even among people at FreeRepublic.
Here's some of the evidence cited: 1) Sources say DeSantis may not back Trump 2) Reports have it that Trump poked fun at DeSantis 3) People are saying the riff is growing wider 4) Articles are on the increase citing unnamed sources and reports involving BOTH, DeSantis and Trump, yes, both
Here’s a silly thought: How bout we focus on local races and primaries, then deal with 2024 when it gets here?

Given Trump’s former behavior in the 2015 election, why would we not expect him to have pet names such as “lyin Ted” and “sleepy Ben Carson”. Certainly this is Trump’s approach to any competitors so we should probably expect this to continue. Some people don’t prefer their President to speak in this way and they believe it is a distraction and weakens the Republican party as a whole. I think these school-yard monikers are similar to swearing constantly - the people who use them typically lack the verbal skills to berate their opponents.

What is that even supposed to mean? Reagan just made that up to escape criticism. Obviously Trump criticizes lots of Republicans. You can’t exist in party politics without criticizing your own party opponents.
Fast learner? Are you kidding? Trump ran a multi-billion enterprise for years, and when he gets to the White House, who does he hire? Omarosa. Didn’t take a genius to figure out she was a total train wreck just from watching his television show. He’s a little old to be figuring out “how to effectively hire”.

Isn't it wonderful? Instead of polished lawyers turned career politician with their phony official decorum, peddling con jobs and influence, we got Trump, outspoken, upfront, honest and forthright, with a great sense of humor. And he can't be bought!
So truthful, he's hated by all the right enemies, nationally and internationally, for real good reason. ☺
Trump/Desantis 2024 -— Desantis/? 2028.
I’m not paying a lot of attention to this “feud”. But if Trump truly is attacking DeSantis, he needs to watch his mouth. DeSantis is one of the good guys. He isn’t Low Energy Jeb, or Lyin’ Ted, or Little Marco — pols who deserve derision. Rick D. isn’t one of them.
I’ve been trying to trace the root of the supposed friction, if there is any, back as far as possible, being the summer of 2020 based on the WarRoom host’s podcast yesterday. These article are the main ones found so far, most hidden behind paywalls, which doesn’t necessarily lend to their credibility, but that alone doesn’t necessarily discredit them, either.

If DeSantis was in fact not meeting Trump at his rallies in Florida, or even worse case undermining his fund raising, as some of the articles allege, then I would say he has some serious explaining to do, and Trump’s ire could be somewhat justified. However if Trump had any role in pulling the carpet out from under Florida, and DeSantis in response by cancelling the Jacksonville RNC convention, and giving those speaking opportunities to others, including even removing DeSantis’ video congratulating Trump on the nomination, then that could harbor some frustration on the part of DeSantis as well.
I guess we’ll just have to see where this goes, but I don’t think this all just sprang up out of nowhere. It’s been simmering there for a while, unfortunately.

As both Trump and DeSantis have correctly noted, this “feud” is MSM-driven with the goal of both distracting from the Biden & Co disaster and dividing conservatives.
Trump is a consummate showman and knows how to work the media. I say it’s a stunt and they are both in on it ...
For sane people, we don’t need to worry about any of this yet, because there are still many things more pressing. It’s not time yet for a difference to matter.
For those that choose to run in circles, scream and shout, it’s tooo much effort and not enough fun.
Yawn.
It’s way too soon for this drama.
