Of course, today all pre-packaged dressings are soybean oil based. Even vinaigrette dressing, which should be olive oil & vinegar, is soy based.

Notice that the Federal FDA Standard for “French salad dressing” was petitioned to be changed in 1998. And now, 24 YEARS later, it has “approved” for review and publication.
