I once worked with a man who was adamant that Kraft french dressing was the standard against which all other french dressings had to be measured. He couldn't be reasoned with.
Of course, today all pre-packaged dressings are soybean oil based. Even vinaigrette dressing, which should be olive oil & vinegar, is soy based.

What if you encounter a bottle of French dressing that identifies as, say, Belgian?

Kraft foods are mostly awful. They just taste bad. Clearly over-engineered for shelf-life, cost, production, appearance - everything except TASTE.

I do not see any mention of an ‘FDA’ (or an ATF, DEA, or EPA) in my copy of the Constitution.
The role of the government in regulating what someone puts into their body should be exactly zero.

“The Association for Dressing and Sauces petitioned for the standards to be revoked in 1998”
So the process to make this change took 23 years? Sounds about right for how efficient our government is.

Glad there’s nothing more important the FDA needs to worry about than French dressing.
