EXACTLY! From its beginning, the government has been slowly, but surely, grabbing power from individuals and from States. Even worse, our elected "representatives" have been giving away their power to unelected alphabet agencies and their corrupt, self-serving bureaucracies! The whole debacle reminds me of a really bad B-rated remake of "The Blob".

If the majority of Americans are economically independent, they can afford to oppose onerous policies. But today, so many Americans rely on government benefits, or on large (woke) corporations for their livelihoods, it's harder to oppose their woke agendas.

What happens next depends entirely on whether we (as in you and me) sit idly by and wait for them to finish the job, or do we avail ourselves of every recourse set forth in the US Constitution for just such occasions, regardless how distasteful those measures might be, or how much the effort might cost us personally.
