he University of Michigan has fired its $927,000-a-year president for having an affair with a subordinate, a year after implementing wide sexual misconduct rules to stop people in power sleeping with their staff.
Mark Schlissel, 64, was informed in a letter on Saturday that he was being fired from the role he has held since July 2014. The university has also made public 118 pages of emails between him and the woman he had an affair with. She is not named and it's unclear how their romance came to light.
Among his pick-up lines are: 'Can I lure you to visit with the promise of a knish?’ and screenshots of take-out pizza receipts which he said were 'to whet your appetite. And tell you what's for dinner too.'

That’s how it works.
I used to work for a guy who had a very high position at a company. All was good on Friday. On Monday, he was gone.
Rumor had it he was sleeping with a subordinate and some weekend office shenanigans were caught on a security camera. She was an active participant but remains employed.
That’s some expensive p****.
When the desires of the little head override the logic of the big head things like this happen, that was some expensive poon hope it was worth it
Schlissel is pictured with his wife Monica, a lawyer based in San Francisco. The pair have four children"
So he lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and she lives in San Francisco, California?
There's your problem.
Wow, I had no idea. For public universities, I would have thought their salaries would be in the mid six figures, plus perks and all the usual benefits.
I need pictures to know if it was worth it.
What are the job specs for a (almost) million dollar a year teacher?
Candy is dandy, but knish with staff is a half-baked idea that'll apparently get you fired when you're caught.
First boss told me “Don’t dip your pen in the company ink”
Missed a lot of “fun” by following that advice, then paid through the nose after I decided to ignore it.
A willingness to push DEI doesn’t come cheap.
The university president would be more akin to a CEO running a large organization than a teacher. Still, this is not exactly the Fortune 500. What value do university presidents provide for these million dollar salaries?
“A relationship based on pizza? That’s the romance novel I would read.”
Old news to the citizens of Napoli.

I may be over-generalizing here, but if it's a woman who can be lured into bed with a knish, I'm guessing she's not all that hot.
Unless you're a chubby chaser.
$927,000/year?
For what?
That’s insane!
His $927K salary is obscene. These administrators are milking the system big time.
“he should’ve deleted the emails.
then they would’ve been gone forever!
right?”
Hillary said you have to clean them....like....with a cloth....and a bit of bleach.
Now its three W’s: Wokeness, Women and Whiskey. ;)
If I had an affair, never did & never would, I would be very James bond about it. So this guy is humiliated for life, his family is shamed, the poor wife, and he used university email to conduct it. He is truly a fool.
And on a very shallow note: ridiculously unattractive. That mouth is tragic.
Did the university really need to publish these emails and embarrass him, though? I guess it can serve as a reminder to others regarding what can happen when using an employer’s email system. Don’t write anything you wouldn’t want the whole world to see.
