It’s is an idiom, not to be taken literally, but if there ever was “a hill to die on,” refusing to provide proof of multiple drug injections in order not to be relegated to second class citizen status is “the hill to die on.” You need not be “unvaccinated” to realize this.

Well sure. But do you believe there would be not casualties on our side? Our casualties are the “hill to die on” because that is the cause for which we would fight.
At least KY can elect pretty good House members; it’s just the senior senator whom we loathe.
Second, in a non-literal manner, individualism HAS taken casualties...municipalities have fired people for not getting shots, private business has also sacked workers, companies have lost business due to mandates, people have taken their lives over the loneliness and despondency caused by shutdowns, not to mention the electoral improprieties.
Third, there are early signs, that the Pandemic Wall is cracking. The CDC went to a five day quarantine, authority figures are admitting that vaccine efficacy is near or at zero, municipalities are "clarifying" that many of the counts of hospitalized people are there WITH the virus and not BECAUSE of the virus. And of course SCOTUS got one (OSHA) of two rulings right, followed by GE reversing its vax mandate.
The wind is at our backs. The real question becomes, will 2022 be a continuation of The Empire Strikes Back, or Return of the Jedi?
