Interesting, but I think I will be ok without one…

Except those 2 are bottle necks with the same case diameter as the 9mm, whereas the 30SC has a case diameter close to a 32ACP which allows the higher round count in similar sized magazines.
I’ll reserve judgment until I get a chance to test it out.

Yeah. Much of the 9mm’s appeal is easy availability and low cost.

Another orphan caliber? Hard to imagine displacing 9mm unless the ballistics are just incredible.

Looks like it might be a better cartridge than .380 for pocket pistols.

Who needs less recoil than a 9mm Lugar?
I'm fine with my Sig P365 XL w RomeoZero. (12 and 15 rd. mags)
As for Home Defense ammo: Inceptor ARX 9MM Self Defense 65gr +P

If it meets FBI or SAAMI, just keep using 9mm.

For those who think the 9x19 is too stout?
Even grandma shoots a .38.

Yea, definite fringe potential. Let's call it fringable.

It’s basically the .32 federal magnum without a rim.

Thanks for posting that interesting article. When I was a kid I couldn’t wait to get my copy of Field and Stream in the mail.

How did Federal achieve this? They borrowed from what they learned in 2008 while developing the .327 Federal Magnum. And how is that cartridge doing?
To: rellimpank
This round already exists. It’s called 7.62x25 tokarev. And it’s a cast iron b*tch.
