Thinking of starting a weekly Sat night Film Noir thread. Please give a thumbs up/down.
(Excerpt) Read more at youtube.com ...
I’ll take Edward G Robinson for 1000 Alex.
That looks like a great list in the YouTube link. Thank you. I just watched The Stranger with Edward G Robinson and Orson Welles a few hours ago. Film noirs are priceless entertainment. Thumbs up!
Love Film Noir ... especially with Boggy.

👍 I’m stll thinking of the movie, Out of the past with Robert Mitchum.
If it weren’t for TCM & History Channel, I wouldnt be watching TV.
Noir Alley is a great thing to watch on TCM....
Sounds fun.
I’m in. You might as well start off with the best, The Asphalt Jungle.
Great movie! Gotta love Sterling Hayden.
She is good in anything, but this is her best in my opinion.
Double Indemnity. My favorite.
Great idea!
I recommend putting “Gun Crazy” on the list...
Sorry, Saturday Night is Svengoolie Night.
BUT, Maltese Falcon is one of my favorite Noir.
Sterling Hayden was quite the character. Are you old enough to remember Tom Snyder? Snyder’s Hayden interviews were classic.

“BUT, Maltese Falcon is one of my favorite Noir.”
The Big Sleep is mine.
L
Detour has the most evil screen villainess ever. Very good film noir.
I read the Moonstone. The movie is too short for the story, but the bookwas good.
“Movies” channel on cable has been doing Sunday Night Noir for a while.
If you get a chance, watch “Murder by Contract”.
Very influential on Scorsese & Tarantino (the quirky contract killer, the shopping for a murder weapon vignette, etc.)
Also has music you may have heard elsewhere (hint: old TV show with a famous bank and millionaires)
oh yeah, I remember Tom Snyder, but I didnt watch many of his interviews. I musta missed the Sterling Hayden one.
