Philippines to acquire missile system from India for $375 mln

The Philippines has finalised a deal to acquire a shore-based anti-ship missile system from India for nearly $375 million to beef up its navy, the Southeast Asian nation's defence minister said.

The Philippines is in the late stages of a five-year, 300 billion pesos ($5.85 billion) project to modernise its military's outdated hardware that includes warships from World War Two and helicopters used by the United States in the Vietnam War.

Under the deal negotiated with the government of India, Brahmos Aerospace Private Ltd will deliver three batteries, train operators and maintainers, and provide logistics support...

I think it is fine that the Philippines is partnering with another Asian nation who has security concerns with the CCP run China.

Everyone around Red China is probably realizing the US won’t lift a finger to help them; it is very clear we are allied with Red China. If they were really enemies, would our shelves be stocked with their cheap junk? Would we be training their future commissars?

Any reported conflict between the US and Red China, or even Russia for that matter, are pure theater for us little people. Our elites envy the control of the ChiCom elites; the warning occurred when they were no longer “Red China”.

They don’t have anyone in their military with the tech skills to run this?

This is an outright purchase. It will be owned and operated by the Filipinos. Some maintainance may still need Indian technicians.
