Appearing on the corporation’s Morning Live programme yesterday, Dr Xand van Tulleken repeatedly declined to use the gender-specific term for the cancer which almost exclusively affects men. According to the charity Prostate Cancer UK, cis women do not have prostates.
It does state that cis men (men who identify as male and were assigned male at birth), trans women, non-binary people who were assigned male at birth and some intersex people have prostates.
This may have led Dr Xand - whose Twitter profile features an LGBT rainbow flag - to not use the gender-specific term when he spoke about a new surgical technique to treat the form of cancer.
His comments were quickly slammed by Brexiteer and trade unionist Paul Embery.
Sharing a clip of Dr Xand’s comments, he wrote: “A doctor on the BBC cannot bring himself to use the word 'men' when talking about prostate cancer.
“So he refers constantly to 'people with prostates'.
“Do these people not understand how crazy they sound?”
He added: “Aside from the sheer insanity of it, there will perhaps be young women who don't know what a prostate is now wondering whether they have one and how to check that all is okay with it.”
During the clip, Dr Xand is asked about the treatment which involves a very small piece of surgical equipment called a nanoknife.
The TV doctor replied: “Now prostate cancer is incredibly common.
“And the thing about the prostate is that it had structures running through it.”
He explained that when operating on it “you can’t just chop it out”.
Surgeons have to be “very delicate in removing the cancer,” he continued.
“It’s also a difficult place to get to.
“So for people with prostates, this is massive news because it means we’ve got a little bit of extra accuracy in excising tumours.
“A large number of people with prostates by the end of their lives may not die of prostate cancer but they may die with it so it’s very common.”
Dr Xand explained that “at the moment” it is likely that the treatment will appear on the NHS.
Absolutely absurd. This gender stuff is beyond annoying anymore.
Just last night rarest wife and I are watching Law and Order, and at the end, the captain’s kid, probably not even a teenager yet, says he (he’s a biological male) is bi and that his pronouns are “he/him.” I was gobsmacked. And the mother didn’t skip a beat and congratulated the kid.
I’m so glad I don’t have kids. I don’t know I could explain that away without getting angry.

All our media sources and educational institutes are pushing this trash onto us and our kids every day......how the American people continue to tolerate this without a huge uproar is stunning.
BBC is beyond saving; same goes for NPR in US, which Tucker Carlson has been highlighting, ABC Australia and CBC Canada.

A Radio 4 presenter has revealed that he resigned after 46 years because he felt under pressure from the BBC to book more “diverse” guests...
Nigel Rees, 77, had presented the hugely popular programme ‘Quote... Unquote’ since 1976 when he left last month...
“We had prescriptions to have diverse groups and disabled guests. I didn’t agree with it at all but I went along with it because I had to. It came from upstairs and it seemed to be a general priority,” he told The Sunday Times.
“I am not willing to go on having my choices interfered with in order to tick boxes in the name of diversity and representation. It is difficult having it enforced for the sake of it. It is also patronising, not least to the people who don’t want to be on because they feel they are ticking a box.”
The BBC’s focus on diversity in recent years has been criticised as out of touch with its audiences...
Last month, the corporation said it would no longer use the acronym BAME (black, Asian and minority ethnic) as it could cause “serious insult” to ethnic minorities if they feel they are being referred to as a homogenous group...
He also gave examples of “cultural issues” creeping in, making him feel out of touch.
Mr Rees said he was asked not to mention some lines from Noël Coward’s 1932 comic song Mad Dogs and Englishmen as the BBC feared it would promote “colonial attitudes”...

Heterosexuality for ages has been under attack or heavy scrutiny. Whether it is dad watching men around his daughter, honor killings in Islam and jealousy of neighbors and family members when one married (hence the dowry system which, in Africa is male and in Europe was female mandate). I am not even going to get into Christians hung off of their own genitals as done by Roman pagans.
Big question to these imbeciles: do gays in marriage impose dowries or have these big weddings to pay off neighbors and family members for peace in acquiring a bride?
The answer is a resounding NO.

M glad I don’t have a doctor that is confused about the difference between boys and girls. CPAs, MBAs, Engineers, and all sorts of professionals all seem to be able to make the distinction pretty easily
