Wasn’t Epps an Oathkeeper? Jack Posobiec on Twitter appears to have provided evidence of this.
I think he was head of the AZ chapter? I don’t know.
FreeRepublic gets a mention in this interview!
(28:00 mins in)
He says Oathkeepers started on here.
Ping.
I’d say No.
FR has a few Cheerleaders
for Oathkeepers,
I ain’t one.
Years ago there was nothing controversial about the Oathkeepers. At least not to a conservative.
You are Correct, Sir.
Thank you.
I have no memory of them starting here on FR but there used to be somewhat regular threads about them. I haven’t seen the Oathkeepers mentioned here in years.
Seems these groups start with noble ideas then get
Compromised.
MinuteMen,
Oathkeepers,
Black Rifle Company and
Proud Boys.
.
Oathkeepers left the Bundy
Ranch skirmish announcing an impending “ Predator Drone” Strike.
That raises Questions,
Many Questions,FRiend.
I read a lot about the Bundy ranch situation, even as it was happening, but this is the first time I’ve heard about that.
Not good.
Oathkeepers started in March 2009 when Obama was President. If Oathkeepers got its start here on Free Republic, there would be threads touting FR’s role in its creation between 2009 and 2016 when Trump was elected. So far I can’t find anything other than this thread giving FR any credit.
I thought it was weird as well but he said it (29 mins in).
Maybe they just met here and private messaged each other or something?
I haven’t a clue.
Thanks for digging into it.
I will remain doubtful until someone comes up with threads or posts to prove it.
I listened to the interview.
He didn't know when OK started. He said Free Republic Forum's'.
My observation is, a Freeper would just say "Free Republic". Maybe he meant a group of forums which were focused on freedom because in the next sentence he mentions former police officers and soldiers. I do not know who's a soldier or former police officer on this forum.
His use of "Free Republic" is as an adjective and not as a noun.
Btt
In before any airplane reference.
The govt has been looking for an excuse to go after Rhodes and the Oath keepers since the Bundy affair. Not to mention when they humiliated the BLM by protecting the Honey Pine mine from an illegal BLM raid. Don’t buy into this govt propaganda about Oathkeepers.
