Here's a description of "rino":
"The River North Art District "where art is made" goes by the nickname of "RiNo" and has even adopted a rhino design for its official logo, so look for creative rhinos in art and signage all around the neighborhood! The district's interesting blend of urban charm and unique industrial revival makes it a great destination for visitors. Historic warehouses and factories now house jazz bars, restaurants, brewpubs, art galleries and working studios."
I hate Denver and this almost makes me hate art.
You are against transvestite rhino art?
I take it you are from Colorado. I have nothing in particular against Denver, but I hate Portland, and it has largely to do with being from rural Oregon.
They’d do better finding workers in DC.
That was 25 years ago and my last trip to their "art museums".
I’ve lived here since 1969. I really, really hate this place. I can’t leave right now because no money and no job, but it’s definitely on my list of things to do before I get so old I can’t consider it anymore. #ColoradoSucksA$$
Haha, I know a bunch of artists like that, or used to. One guy would take rusted metal from dumpsters and jumble it in a big jumble and then weld it together. People would buy it. My band played at his gallery from time to time. He is actually a nice guy and had a keen appreciation for art, but that was his thing.
Some modern art is worth looking at, but eh. I’m too lazy to search for it.
Denver envies Portland and eagerly awaits the burnings of businesses, takeover by semi-literates with single IQs, and like minded leftists without abilities or morals.
Coloradoans who moved away from that hell-hole to nicer parts of Colorado and elsewhere remember when it was a nice metro area. They don’t care about Denver now, the Front Range is a wreck and it’s only getting worse.
When the traffic went to a bumper-to-bumper crawl in Morrison we got out. Plenty of places west of Denver all the way to Utah are still fabulous.
What band? I knocked around the music scene there off and on for 40 years.
If I talked about it - which I don’t really want to do at this point - the remaining members of that former band would likely have me in court. I’m not exaggerating, unfortunately.
KWEMOF (Kristi Wilson Entirely Made Of Flies): *nods* Yes.
It’s already happened but not with jackboots.
River North Denver has got a lot of former warehouses and new buildings and various engineers and small businesses. And a few small brew pubs and athletic professional types. The neighborhood is on both sides of the Platte River and is a reasonably nice place near downtown Denver. Those who hate juppy hippies who work for a living should probably stay away. Those who hate youthful energy should probably stay away. If you like hipsters from Athens, Ga. You may be impressed with the work ethic and energy of the River North neighborhood.
Everything about Denver sucks. “RINO” will be a nidus for homeless and gangs within a few years if it isn’t already. That’s what happens to all their stupid boondoggles.
