Mountain lions in the Rockies are quite common. They are no longer endangered. In fact they are considered, “least concerned” Which means there are a bunch of them. So if your in bad health and use the warmth of a building instead of snow borrow in the woods, then you have to go. Zoos don’t need anymore mountain lions to feed.

Because it is a dangerous animal that has lost its fear humans. It was looking for dog, a cat, or a person to eat.
It wasn’t tame, but was habituated.
