Air Force denies bending rules for female spec ops trainee who allegedly quit, then resumed

The U.S. Air Force is being accused of bending the rules and pushing a female officer through the Special Tactics Officer (STO) program despite allegations she repeatedly quit the training. The Air Force told American Military News the allegations are “factually incorrect or missing context” and say training standards are different now compared to years before.

The allegations were raised by an anonymous Air Force combat controller and first shared via Twitter on Wednesday by Brian Kimber, an Air Force Pararescue (PJ) veteran, journalist and podcaster. Kimber’s tweets were reposted the same day by Navy SEAL veteran and Congressman Dan Crenshaw, who called on the military to address the allegations if they’re true, and warned against bending training rules.

In January 2020, Mosby reportedly restarted the two to three-year STO training pipeline with the Special Tactics Training Squadron (STTS) at Hurlburt Field in Florida. During that time, Mosby reportedly became known for quitting at various points during training but accounts of her quitting were allegedly “brushed under the rug,” particularly because her progression through the course was being monitored by Congress and AFSOC leadership.

The notion that diversity is the only solution will get us killed.

It’s a pity more boys like the ones from the Trump and Romney families were not...and have never...volunteered to serve. More young men from the Citadel, VMI, Oral Roberts, BYU, Liberty University, etc. volunteering to serve would greatly diminish the need to drop standards.

Thanks for the link. There was a woman several decades back who raised a hue and cry about the deleterious effect of forcing women into what had always been a men-only occupation. Sorry, I forget her name. She was quite prominent in conservative circles — for awhile, anyway — saying what many men were too cautious to mention. I think it was she who made the excellent point that only a decadent, self-destructive society or culture would deliberately send its young women into danger when young men were available.

Each year I now send out the below letter to about 40 papers and commentators.

The of Tragedy Social Engineering Combat

Obama’s defense department announcement on December 3, 2015 meant regimental combat teams and special forces units became bureaucratic toys for those imagining equal opportunity and affirmative action could coexist with warriors enduring the brutality imperative for victory.

Combat operations require the most severe restrictions on human emotions and behaviors to foster the uniquely understood high morale, good order and discipline, and unit cohesion. Human sexual diversity of any variety cannot intrude into this authoritarian meritocracy where only those displaying the greatest savagely can win.

At the point of collision, our troops face situations requiring exceptional physical capabilities and unbelievably sacrificial, primitive, and intimate relations. They continuously face extraordinary stress punctuated by killing other humans within inherently chaotic and brittle environments.

Of special consideration should be an understanding national defense through personal combat becomes the ultimate Olympics. Therefore, much less excuse obtains for merging men with women into this hideous ordeal than exists for combining the athletic competitions every four years. Certainly, the controversy over transgender females competing in women’s Olympics makes that point obvious.

Institutional memories no longer exist for fighting ferocious, shrewd enemies such as Germans, Japanese, Chinese, and North Vietnamese, who utilized a full array of modern weapons. As this tragedy unfolds remember the quote that, “Men sleep peacefully in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf”.

The Air Force bends the physical fitness rules for all female trainees; they do a timed arm hang instead of pull-ups.

Cold, hard, truth. The military (war) is self correcting.

Combat is the ultimate “survival of the fittest”. It sounds callous, but those at the bottom of the strength, endurance, and viciousness scale will be the first to become casualties.

It’s one thing to die for your country, it’s another to do so for someone’s personal agenda.

Because everyone wants to be put on a team with someone who repeatedly quit during the training.

Even if the training is tough...the aspect of dying in training is minimal; whereas, someone who quits on a mission puts everyone at risk.

They will put her on one mission somewhere and then promote her or transfer her somewhere that she won’t impact the folks in the field.

Oh, there is no need to drop standards. Why would you think that?

Care to enlighten us, Mr. Official? Cuz all I see here is a ‘denial’ followed by ‘a quibble’.

This statement is part of the problem:

Crenshaw wrote. “To be clear, there are lots of females that contribute enormously to Special Operations missions.

Crenshaw concedes the point after pointing out the fraud. Exactly how many women serve in Air Force Spec Ops, and what positions do they fill? The list probably isn't long.
