Worldometer is the underpowered, cobbled together peer of SNOPES in data reliability

ransomnote: The Worldometer uses, as its source, many organizations which have their own credibility problems. Since 'someone' rewrote the content of Wikipedia's entry for Worldometer to eliminate mention of it's flaws/limitations, I thought I should capture what Worldometer says about itself before it, too is revised and sanitized.

"Sources and Methods

Our sources include Official Websites of Ministries of Health or other Government Institutions and Government authorities' social media accounts."

Worldometer links their sources on another page. Here's just a subset of a larger list - their dominant source is the United Nations.

Worldometer - Sources (worldometers.info)

Other Organizations Statistics Programmes

ransomnote: ah...their methods...and there's our old adversary, the CDC popping up.

About Worldometer COVID-19 data - Worldometer (worldometers.info)

"Definitions

Total Cases = reported total cumulative count of detected and laboratory (and sometimes, depending on the country reporting them and the criteria adopted at the time, also clinically) confirmed positive and sometimes - depending on the country reporting standards - also presumptivesuspect, or probable cases of detected infection. Because it represents a cumulative count (rather than a snapshot of the number of current cases at any given time), this number can't decrease. The size of the gap between detected (whether confirmed, suspect or probable) and reported cases versus actual cases will depend on the number of tests performed and on the country's transparency in reporting. Most estimates have put the number of undetected cases at several multiples of detected cases. See also: Change in US CDC "Case" and "Death" definition"

ransomnote: On the 'Active Cases' section on that same page, Worldometer writes, "This figure can increase or decrease, and represents an important metric for Public Health and Emergency response authorities when assessing hospitalization needs versus capacity."

I wonder if Worldometer may be where the CDC gets its fake statistics that it uses to falsely portray the US medical system in a state of collapse, even when citizens have visited some of those medical facilities and find them quiet if not under utilized.

Again on the same page, the "Recoveries" section seems to explain why Worldometer's death counts are cannot be correct.

"WHO recommends following the criteria of [symptoms resolve + 2 negative tests within 24 hours] or [symptoms resolve + additional 14 days], but this is only a recommendation. In some countries, when a patient is discharged from the hospital it is counted as "recovered" even if no test is performed. Some health officials now consider anyone who was diagnosed with COVID-19 three or more weeks ago and has not died to be recovered from the disease. In view of this, "Active Cases" and "Closed Cases Outcome" which both depend on the number of recoveries (in addition to an accurate death count and a satisfactory rate of case detection, both of which are lacking in the vast majority of countries) can be affected by this inherent flaw for many countries and for the total worldwide count."

There's more about their patched together 'system' for providing guestimates to the public which originate from WHO, the United Nations, the CDC and other agenda driven participants. Worldometer is invalid data, yet cited frequently. Coincidence?

psst... don’t tell the World-o-meter fans here. They worship those numbers and hang on every digit.

Yes, I’ve seen the monocled analysis routinely taking place on FR...’deep dives’ into fake data.

Hard to tell if the Worldometer cultists here like the large numbers or just the color of the carts.

The numbers are BS to any normal individual.

Re: “deep dives” into fake data, I concur.

When I cite the JHU, CDC and Worldometers numbers, and apply a simple arithmetic examination, the HUGE anomalies become evident. And evident enough that some FReepers bark back, all the while drifting off into even stranger “excess death” estimates.

How huge is a single anomaly? How about the “accepted” and therefore reported China “data?”

According to JHU, China as of today reports a mere “4,849” Covid deaths for a population of 1.4 billion. Whatever one thinks of Covid, the number is outrageously anomalous. Therefore, all numbers should be questioned.

If a virus affects a population approximately the same and in general, then one should see rather similar reports.

And yet just across the border India reports 483,463 deaths for a similar size population, while the US is tagged as the “deadliest” in terms of percentage of a population. This is ridiculous.

The virus stops at the India border with China?

The virus is massively more virulent in the US than India?

The anomalies in the “official” data leap out, and yet the media and some Freepers turn a blind eye to these glaring data issues. I will continue to cite these "official" -- and yes, suspicious -- numbers to show that, at the minimum, the "official" numbers suggest the entire "event" is media- and academic gaslighting.

Else, the whole "pandemic" results "officially" as: ( 5,440,715 "global deaths) / 7,917,528,778 global population ) x 100 = 0.0687%

Less than seven one-hunredths of one percent "global deaths" from Covid over two years.

Not much of a pandemic, don't you think? I think this proves the "con" has been afoot for the entire time.

With what goal? The dreamed of European-style "green pass" which would incorporate medical, climate and banking issues for the purpose of exactly what the Chinese Communists do to their people.

Stating the obvious pursuant to actual facts is a necessary step in exposing all of the PSYOP. Sometimes knowledge bias prompts omission, as I have done.

Thanks for posting.

Some here will nevertheless project their denial...

Yep, CCP/China fatality data is crap. (Multiply their #’s by between 100 & 150x...data should be similar to India).

Our USA “per capita #’s” look worse than 3rd world countries due to better record keeping/and way more COVID testing per capita.

For “seriousness in the US” COVID-19 is still only the “#2 All-Time Flu Pandemic”, here is the chart I made:

Top USA Flu Pandemics:

1. 1918 USA Influenza Pandemic:
USA Population: 103,208,000
675,000 Spanish flu fatalities (est.) = 0.00654 fatalities per capita

2. 2020 USA COVID-19 Pandemic as of 01-08-2022:
USA Population: 332,770,000
858,978 COVID-19 fatalities = 0.00258 fatalities per capita

3. 1957-1958 USA Influenza Pandemic:
USA Population: 171,984,130
116,000 flu fatalities (est.) = 0.000675 fatalities per capita

4. 1968-1969 USA Influenza Pandemic:
USA Population: 200,706,052
100,000 flu fatalities (est.) = 0.000498 fatalities per capita

USA 1918 influenza pandemic = 2.53 times worse than COVID-19 pandemic.
USA COVID-19 pandemic = 3.8 times worse than any prior USA flu pandemic.

I haven't the time this evening, but it would be interesting for us both to add in the HIV/AIDS cumulative deaths, for I believe they come in second in the last century.

I find this important as Fauci was involved in that as well, and has continued to be.

Add to that the “H1N1” vaccine....2009’ish...Obama/Fauci. More vaccine injury claims from that one. Also the military mandatory anthrax vaccine was pretty rough.
