Last week Secretary of State John Kerry warned graduating students at Boston College of the "crippling consequences" of climate change. "Ninety-seven percent of the world's scientists," he added, "tell us this is urgent."
Where did Mr. Kerry get the 97% figure? Perhaps from his boss, President Obama, who tweeted on May 16 that "Ninety-seven percent of scientists agree: #climate change is real, man-made and dangerous." Or maybe from NASA, which posted (in more measured language) on its website, "Ninety-seven percent of climate scientists agree that climate-warming trends over the past century are very likely due to human activities."Snip

It has always stuck with me and use it whenever I hear someone repeat that lie
and just like the line game telephone, the message is always distorted over time and with people’s bias filtering in. even with 3% dissenting, the scientific method says that 3% should be heard.

Sadly,it doesn’t matter what the facts are. The left have hijacked the truth, and they control,the narrative. Only,the highminfomfolks will know that 97% is a lie, but when the high info folks try to t,the low,info folks,the actual truth, themlow,info,the low,, and their puppet masters drown out the truth, and even go so far as to,threaten violence and to cancel those who tell the truth
The left have invented “New Truth”, and their new truth is nothing but lies. The world now believes the lie that 97% of scientists agree,that man is 98% responsible for climate change- despite reams and reams of evidence that we are not even 1% responsible

97% of scientists receiving large grants from governments to report on man-cause climate change agree man is causing climate change.
There is 2 feet of global warming I just shoveled from my sidewalks. OH WAIT. That’s weather. Weather is not climate. Except when we had that heat was early last summer in the PNW. That wasn’t weather. That was climate. Or something.
Climate has been changing NATURALLY since earth was born 5 Billion years ago. There have been ice ages and there have been warm ages. All because of cycles of the Sun which is million times bigger than the puny earth.

Warm is good. Cold is not good. If man could just shift the baseline up a few degrees, maybe humanity will be saved from the next version of the Little Ice Age.
How many statements and promises were made by medical professionals, doctors, the FDA, CDC, WHO, only for the same people to change their minds at a later date when more was learned.
If the were honest and told us the truth that they didn't and don't know then I could trust them more. Scientists are not infallible. Actually true science and scientific theories of the same are continually changing as we learn more. And the science is NEVER ABSOLUTE. NEVER!
IIRC, the IPCC sent out a survey to several thousand professors/scientists worldwide and only a hundred or so were returned. so, the 97% comes from the number of returned surveys and not the actual percent of the real number of surveys sent out
I’m sure the list of scientists that were sent surveys was also tailored to get the results they wanted.

Science is not done by consensus. Nearly 97% of scientists believe this is true.
New York will be under a mile of ice (in the next ice age, probably a few thousand years) before whe sea level rises 3 inches, if at all.
