nce a rarity, cows with light blue or dark ultramarine hides may again be glimpsed grazing on the Latvian countryside among the regular brown, black or white spotted cattle.
The unique and hardy breed, driven to near extinction during the Soviet era, has made a comeback over the last few decades as an unlikely symbol of Latvian national identity....
In 2000 there were only 18 blue cows in Latvia, but today they number around 1,500 -- thoroughbreds as well as hybrids.
Originally found only on the Baltic coast in the Kurzeme region...

This must be where blue cheese comes from.
(The cows look gray to me.)
I’m seeing more women with blue hair too.
It might be the circles I run in.
Well it won’t be long for a rich lib/Yankee will have one of these running with their Longhorn herd on their Texas dude ranch.
Along with a couple grass belly horses and donkeys which breed like rabbits and there is no market for.
They are a trip,lib/Yankees. I even met one who was trying to breed mules using a mule Jenny and jack. I just walked off. Did not have the heart to bust his bubble
I like brown cows because they give chocolate mmilk.
I’ve heard of the Norwegian Blue but they’re always pining for the Fjords.
Blue Moooooooooon.....
