Did a bit more research on ATT.
Ouch... Router behind their box running a VPN thus encrypting your connections and not allowing them to snoop may be almost a must. I dont care how well their stuff performs, that is a deal killer for me on their hardware.
I have a Boost Mobile phone, but signal is so spotty I have to go to town to get consistent service. I'm only 8 miles from town.
Another phone is on Verizon, and it, too, sometimes fails.
Make sure it is not set at 5gz. The 2.4 will have better range for his shop.
I tested with my laptop a foot from the microwave oven. The signal from the wireless access point was OK, not weak.
Worth noting that Radio Shack used to sell a microwave leakage detector. You can buy similar instruments from other sellers today.
When heating breakfast in an open microwave, try putting your laptop, (or phone), in there to test the signal.
*Disclaimer for any TicToc users* -— Don’t really do this.
You can get cell signal amplifiers... They are a cpl hundred bucks.

HA!
You can bet some imbecile had done this....or will.
Good on you for warning the idiocracy!
I've found these Netgear ORBI WiFi extenders to work pretty well.
Easy setup and configuration. One extender even throws a pretty strong signal about 100' down to my dock.
Only downside is that they don't extend other routers.
Yes, switch to T-Mobile.....................
I tested my speed and found it to be just 1/4 of what I am paying for. I did the usual power off/on the equipment etc and then called Spectrum. They are having a issue in the area and no eta.
