Young Men More Likely to Get Heart Inflammation After Pfizer’s Booster Than COVID-19: Oxford Study

Males under 40 years old are more likely to experience heart inflammation after getting a booster shot of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine than COVID-19 itself, according to a recently published study.

Males in the age group had a myocarditis incidence rate ratio of 7.6 in the 28 days following receipt of a Pfizer booster, researchers with the University of Oxford and other UK institutions found.

That was higher than the ratio of 2 in the four weeks following a positive COVID-19 test result.

“For the first time, we observe an increase in myocarditis events following a third dose of BNT162b vaccine,” researchers wrote in their study, which has not been peer reviewed as of yet.

BNT162b is the name of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine.

COVID-19 is the disease caused by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus.

Myocarditis is the primary form of heart inflammation seen after people get vaccinated or get COVID-19.

“Current college booster mandates do not seem to have the best interests of the students, especially the male students, at heart. We need better data on the risks and benefits of boosters in the <40 age group,” Dr. Tracy Høeg, an epidemiologist based in California, wrote on Twitter about the study results.

Researchers also found an even stronger link between Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine and myocarditis.

After getting the second dose of Moderna’s two-shot primary regimen, males under 40 had an incidence rate ratio of 16.5.

That was well above the 3.4 ratio for those who got the second shot of Pfizer’s vaccine and the 2.5 ratio for those who received a second shot of the AstraZeneca/University of Oxford vaccine, both of which also have two-shot initial dosages.

Researchers drew data from the the NHS Immunisation Management Service database, which includes information on all people who received a vaccine in England. Those in the database got a vaccine between Dec. 1, 2020, and Nov. 15, 2021.

They estimated an additional 101 myocarditis events per million in the 28 days following the second dose of Moderna’s vaccine and an additional 13 events following a Pfizer booster, both of which were higher than the estimate of 7 additional such events in the four weeks following a positive COVID-19 test.

Pfizer and Moderna did not respond to requests for comment.

Researchers, who received funding from the University of Oxford and the UK government, stressed that in the overall population, the risk of myocarditis was pegged as higher following contraction of COVID-19 versus post-vaccination, except for following the second dose of Moderna’s vaccine. Among the limitations was an inability to break down the specific risk to children aged 13 to 17 because the number of myocarditis events was too small.

Earlier studies had put the risk of myocarditis as higher for young males who received the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine when compared to those who got COVID-19, but no researchers had analyzed the risk from booster doses.

U.S. drug regulators authorized boosters of Pfizer’s shot for 16- and 17-year-olds earlier this month, and the Centers for Disease Control recommended every teenager get a third jab.

Both agencies ducked their vaccine advisory panels after members expressed concern previously about the risk of side effects like myocarditis outweighing the benefits of boosters in young males.

U.S. officials relied heavily on data from Israel, which started boosting young people ahead of virtually every other nation. Pfizer’s risk-benefit analysis, based on Israel’s data, estimated 29 to 69 COVID-19 hospitalizations per million booster doses administered would be averted, but that boosters would lead to 23 to 69 cases of post-boosting myocarditis.

At the same time, regulators in late October pushed back a decision on clearing Moderna’s vaccine for children aged 12 to 17 because of concerns about post-vaccination myocarditis.

The new study should trigger a pause of Moderna’s vaccine in all men under 40, as several European nations have ordered, Dr. Vinay Prasad, an epidemiologist at the University of California, San Francisco, wrote on his blog.

My 19 year old son has to get a booster before he returns to Cal State for spring semester. He made an appointment for the J&J, which I think is better for young men compelled to take boosters (the others may be better for young women).

Add to that the chances of young men dying from heart inflammation vs. COVID.

I also hAve three boys and I hate that they are forced to get something so potentially deadly with zero benefits. In order to attend schools.

It is not just young men... my little brother who is in his mid 50s and has been an airline captain for years was grounded when he had his biannual flight physical. He had an enlarged and inflamed heart after getting the Pfizer. This has been enough of a problem for pilots that it is one of the first things flight surgeons now look for.

No one can “compel” me to shoot poison into my body over a cold.

True—it just depends what you want. My son wants to continue to attend college in CA: therefore, he has chosen to get the booster.

I’ll get the booster if/when it becomes a condition of international travel (which I think it will be). Since boosters only last 10 weeks, I predict soon the requirement will be a vaccination 10 weeks before travel.

Maybe something to do with androgen receptors? Meanwhile the shots seem to be affecting women’s reproductive systems too . . .

Waiting for the democrat/media/big pharma/Faux-xi cheerleaders on here to say the death serum is perfectly safe with 98% efficacy.

Do you see a problem with either statement?

My brother has to keep getting these moronic clot shots to stay employed in New York, I keep telling him to quit and sell his home and come back to Nh and run a hotel or something, he won’t cuz he loves the money. Very upsetting but If I were you I’d tell my kid to take a year off from college maybe they will stop mandating it soon. It’s very disgusting what they are doing to people by mandating this.

Warn him that some who showed no adverse effects from the initial jab got hit hard from additional jabs.

...and here's what the study cited by Epoch Times actually says once you go to the article in Nature:

Our findings are relevant to the public, clinicians and policy makers. First, there was an increase in the risk of myocarditis within a week of receiving the first dose of both adenovirus and mRNA vaccines, and a higher increased risk after the second dose of both mRNA vaccines. In contrast, we found no evidence of an increase in the risk of pericarditis or cardiac arrhythmias following vaccination, except in the 1–28 days following a second dose of the mRNA-1273 vaccine. Second, in the same population, there was a greater risk of myocarditis, pericarditis and cardiac arrhythmia following SARS-CoV-2 infection. Third, the increased risk of myocarditis after vaccination was higher in persons aged under 40 years. We estimated extra myocarditis events to be between 1 and 10 per million persons in the month following vaccination, which was substantially lower than the 40 extra events per million persons observed following SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Whilst myocarditis can be life-threatening, most vaccine-associated myocarditis events have been mild and self-limiting22. The risk observed here is small and confined to the 7-day period following vaccination, whereas the lifetime risk of morbidity and mortality following SARS-CoV-2 infection is substantial. Indeed, myocardial injury is very common in persons admitted to hospital with SARS-CoV-2 infection26, when evaluated systematically using high-sensitivity cardiac troponin tests27. Moreover, evidence of myocardial injury, irrespective of whether due to myocarditis or myocardial ischemia, is associated with a higher risk of in-hospital death28. We estimate that the absolute number of excess myocarditis events in the 28 days following a first dose of adenovirus or mRNA vaccine is between one and six per million persons vaccinated, and the excess risk following the second dose of the mRNA-1283 vaccine is ten per million. By contrast, we estimate 40 excess myocarditis events per million in the 28 days following SARS-CoV-2 infection.

— “We estimated.... We estimate.... By contrast, we estimate....”

The experiments are in the phase three trials, and the liability shield for the manufacturers is based on the experiment not being complete and there being no FDA-approved treatments though there seem to be several.

So as one reads various articles — which boil down to marketing for the mRNA drugs being tested, a word repeated as if data. “We estimate....”

Here is data from an “official” source, which requires no estimates.

As of 2 January 2022:

For the world:

( 5,440,715 “global deaths) / 7,917,528,778 global population ) x 100 = 0.0687%

Less than seven one-hunredths of one percent “global deaths” from Covid over two years.

Not an estimate.

Read one report that many young stoners get hit with heart inflammation most but they keep that data on low profile not sure why maybe true maybe not?.

Many red states have religious exemptions. My son was a D1 wrestler for arguably the top team in the nation and received an exemption. Why play Russian Roulette?
