It’s always a good day when Notre Dame loses.

Indeed. I was rooting for the Cowboys.

Not ALWAYS, just often. Ohio State has a few national championships to its name.

Njigba"

The name sounds like a Mad magazine combination of racial slurs.

Definitely!

And that OSU come-from-WAY-behind push was astounding.

There were several good, close, nail-biter games yesterday and a couple of unimpressive blow-outs.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba is from Rockwall TX. He won the Landry award for the top high school football player in DFW. Recent award winners include Miles Garrett, Kyler Murray and Kennedy Brooks.

Ron Meyer, former coach at SMU once said if he could just recruit the top players in DFW he would win a national title every year.

Can we say “Njigba”? Jigaboo is not allowed, so I’m just wondering.

College football is a mockable, delicious mess and the post-season games (outside of the CFPs) are a debacle. But that’s what made this game so wildly entertaining. There was plenty of insanity for all tastes.

Watch out for the Big 10, folks. Alabama and Georgia are out in front of everyone, A&M is interesting, but the SEC is otherwise top-heavy and disrupted. The three other power conferences are disasters.

There are 10+ major forces working in the Big 10’s favor going forward. Maybe the SEC fixes its coaching problems, finds ways not to get run over every year by its two powerhouse teams and overcomes a few other structural problems. But don’t count on it.

I’m a buckeyes fan but didn’t watch because they had several key players not even show up. They weren’t even trying :-(

Iowa deserved to lose that game after that lame attempt to draw Kentucky offside on fourth down.

The Kentucky coach probably told his players that Iowa didn’t think they could beat them and tried to trick them instead.

Seems like the “Prevent” defense should be renamed the “Prevent Win” defense.

Scene: Beloved seventy-five-year-old play-by-play announcer is one week away from retirement.

Old Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, I’m told that this young guy is just completely on fire with his pass receiving. And that he can really RUN. His name? *rustles notes* Ah.... Jack... Jaxon... Jaxon Smith... N-.... jig.... WHAT IS THIS?! *sound of headset being thrown down* YOU GUYS ARE SETTING ME UP!!! ........... What....? ..... Oh. I see. *more rustling paper sounds* I’m fired anyway, aren’t I?

You missed one of the better Bowl Games of the season. Both teams played well.
As far as players opting out. I don’t care for it myself, but college football has had some big shifts this year. Guess we will have to see how it all shakes out.Happy New Year.👍

"New-jib-wa" or "Nuh-gyp-wa" depending on Chris Fowler or Kirk Herbstreit.

Here is highlight package on YT.

Was all wrong pumping up Cincy as 4th slot in Championship. Should have been OSU. They would have given Bama a game.

"The Kentucky coach probably told his players that Iowa didn’t think they could beat them and tried to trick them instead."

Crazy that Stoops was on the chopping block to start the season but no one realized Stoops had made a weak non-conf sched, and still tanked two losses to two 4-4 conference teams, then beats an Iowa team that got complacent once they came back.

Get Levis back at QB but the problem is, 2022 is just another Citrus Bowl run. They will never get by Bama or GA or contend for FCS in any season you can't beat TN and MissSt.

There’s a Canaan Smith-Njigba that is a minor league outfield prospect with the Pirates. Assume some relationship.
