But why did it need an ambulance for you to get out of the car?
Again it’s in your own algorithm. “x times”, if you’re less than x YOUR OWN VERY CODE would not have flipped it over.
They refunded you right? So all is working EXACTLY how YOUR VERY OWN CODE would have it work. So stop whining.
Very happy you’ve never QAed my code. Any software should serve the user. Your attempts to justify the laziness and lack of functionality in this software are dumb. My code would never have allowed the transaction, even if x is 1. Especially considering MY ONLY JOB in creating the software is to facilitate a good transaction.
You’re not much of a QA person, especially considering the Q is for quality.
I didn’t have my prosthesis on, so I couldn’t walk. They used a wheelchair on the dialysis side, and one was waiting at my house.
You know for a guy that can’t manage the difference between private reply and post reply you sure do call everybody else names.
We’re done. You’re just a whiner. You know you’re wrong. But you’ll never admit it. Buh bye.
Very professional. I’m used to ad hominem attacks when you lose on the merit of your argument. I talk to liberals all the time. I’d say learn to code but I wouldn’t want you on my team.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Dude you’ve been insulting me in public AND private posts for like 5 cycles here and now you’re whining about me pointing out you’re a whiner?! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Explain to us how your code would’ve known The Restaurant was closed that day?
And which one of those notification methods you believe failed?
I write software for a living too. Getting all the basic functionality to work takes 10% of the time. 90% of the time is checking for all these Anomaly cases.
Analog guy here. I would have called the deli first to see if it were open. I would have assumed that it was closed today until proven otherwise.
And Cato, from where i sit, you surely sounded like you were whining. Not so much sounding like you wanted a solution, just sounds like whining .
Like my wife’s two cats FEEDME FEEDME FEEDME.
Even with only one leg, you’re off with a great start to a new year. Here’s hoping your tomorrows are better than today. .
Yawn. Yeah I’m the one doing the insulting. Go QA something.
Uh. Sure. My expecting companies I pay money to for an application to care about more than the color of their programmers is whining. You’re part of the reason they get away with it.
As far as calling the deli, you’re making my point. I placed an order another way. My point us that if it wasn’t open that method shouldn’t have been available. But I’m whining. Too funny.
Let me try to get this straight.
It’s New Year’s Day and you are tech savvy enough to navigate the Uber app, but not tech savvy enough to look up the deli to see if they have their hours posted or if they don’t have a website, give them a quick telephone call to see if they are open?
“My dog and I wanted a sandwich for lunch today, New Year’s Day. We ordered it on Uber Eats”. We ordered? : ), Your dog must be really smart. : ), Next time ask him to call the deli.
You ordered the sandwich on the Uber app, and I’m assuming you were charged a fee for that, but yet drove to the deli, in the rain no less to pick the sandwich up in person?
“I only have one leg, so they had to call an ambulance to physically remove me from the Uber car.” So how were you able to drive to the deli today?
I am assuming by your calling it a deli, this is not a chain restaurant. How is Uber supposed to know they are closed? Do you think Uber contacts every mom&pop shop individually to check on their hours on a holiday? Do you think every shop that contracts with Uber to place and or deliver orders are all hooked into some uber Uber mainframe that updates every few seconds?
You say you don’t have a physical credit card. How are you paying for the Uber?
You didn’t get hosed since Uber refunded your money, you were only mildly inconvenienced.
I’m sorry but nothing in your posts make any sense.
Thanks for asking. Because I did that. What I would have done is automagically disabled ordering after the first order wasn’t acknowledged, and then flagged it for a manual check. Naysayers are telling me I may have been the first one. Not likely, but possible. I checked back with that entry in Uber a few hours later and it was still available for ordering. Sloppy.
These are all you:
What McDonald’s do you work at?
say something this dense.
You’re not much of a QA person
I’d say learn to code but I wouldn’t want you on my team.
If you’re gonna throw insults don’t whine when one gets thrown back. Meanwhile, we all know you’re wrong. If you actually are a developer you’re the QA nightmare “not a bug, not my code, user error”.
Are you people insane? You’re totally missing the point. So you think that if there’s an application written that facilitates placing an order with a deli, you wouldn’t expect it to detect that there was no one there to make the actual order?
And you’re okay with being able to place an order when the place is closed?
I explained why I chose Uber instead of calling. I’d like to add that there’re difficult to get through to on the phone. They used to have an order facility on their website, but they went with Uber because it’s no charge to either party if the customer picks it up.
I’m kinda surprised at your criticisms about me. Fine. I’m a moron. That doesn’t change the points I’ve made. Shrug. At least now I see why they get away with it. Freerepublic sure has changed.
Happy New Year.
Are you still talking? You got crap from me because of the aggressive way you pedaled your ignorant claptrap. Whatever.
Your last comment makes me laugh. It’s not a user error, it’s missing functionality. I have a walk full of quality awards from some of the biggest companies in the world. I’m proud of my code and my architecture. You have to be younger, because you typify the slapdash and lazy technologist I yell at constantly.
So now you finally admit you whined. None of what I said was ignorant claptrap, it was the truth. Pointing out how you are wrong. And the fact that you’ve gone 100% personal attacks shows you know you’re wrong.
So we’re in complete agreement. Your code wouldn’t have avoided this. You are a whiner. And you threw insults. Perfect.
Oh look more insults. Gosh you really are pathetic. I didn’t say this was user error. I said YOU are typical of a bad developer. Blaming everybody but yourself.
