Democratic Rep. Debbie Dingell in tears after learning she will have to MOVE because redistricting swiped her seat for the 2022 midterms: 23 of her colleagues have already dropped out and GOP momentum is surging

Democrat Rep. Debbie Dingell grew emotional on Wednesday night over having to leave her hometown of Dearborn, Michigan in order to keep serving in Congress after redistricting swiped her seat ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.

For the first time in history, Michigan's new map was drawn by an independent commission rather than political operators. That saw the state's number of House seats drop from 14 to 13, and is forcing Dingell out of the 12th Congressional District she took over from her husband, late longtime Rep. John Dingell.

Why doesn’t she just run in the new district her home is in?

Redistricting is fine when Democrats do it. It is nothing but pure evil when Republicans do it.

She’d have to primary the incumbent is my guess. Michigan lost a House seat and hers was dropped.

It’s the redistriicting that is gonna hurt the dems, not their terrible policies- see, look here no mandate by the people, just dirty GOP tricks. But for the abusive manipulation they’d be lifted high on the arms of their loving and faithful comrades and revolutionaries to complete their vision of the fundamental change through social justice.

Congresscritters do NOT have to live in the districts they “represent.”

And several don’t, including Mad Max (Maxine Waters), etc.

I find it hard to believe that happened. I’m sure that Democrapt governor will veto it or put in a law suit to reverse the Republican legislature’s move

And in the meantime, DOMINION is still operating and not one single investigation or indictment has been handed down.

So why would the Commies have any concerns what-so-ever?

The old 12th was a guaranteed situation for a Democrat....never getting a Republican above 35 percent. Her ‘home’ district (where she lives is now mostly made into district #6), and a fair number of white voters to black voters (6 to 1).

The new District #12 is about 20 miles to the east of the old district and covers most of western Detroit. A bigger black population there and she’ll face real competition from within the black community.

District #13 is now Detroit-city itself, where it’s a 5 to 4 black to white voter ratio. I think the new issue is that she’s not ‘black’ enough for #13.

Dingell is forced into competition and isn’t really that capable of handling it.

Wah, wah. The districts had to be renumbered because they went from 14 to 13. Her new 6th district is still generally west and south of Detroit. Maybe the problem is that her home is not in the new 6th district and she would have to fight Rashida Talib for the new 12th.

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/redistricting-2022-maps/michigan/ shows the new and old district maps. The borders look a lot more sane. However, they were previously carved up 8 Republican, 4 Democrat and 2 competitive. Now it will be 6 Republican, 4 Democrat and 3 competitive. So the Republicans lost 2 and one new competitive district was added.

I’m actually sick of people who pull out the “IT WAZ DA MACHINZ” or “ITZ WAZ DOMINIONZ” when they are just parroting what grifters with blogs and fake Kraken monsters told them.

Did anyone, anyone actually bother at looking at the data?

Anyone?

Let’s take a look at Wisconsin. The standard line from the average trailer park resident is: “DOMINZ STOLE DA VOTE IN WISCONSIN!!!!!”

Why do people think this? They think this because it was an easy boogeyman to help them cope. People on the internet do the thinking for them, and they don’t have to grapple with actual data.

Contrary to what people think, only 19 counties in Wisconsin used Dominion machines. The vast majority of them are small, rural and Republican. Of those 19, Trump improved on his vote share and raw vote in all but 3. Of those 3, the vote differences were miniscule. Trump actually netted more than 15K more votes in 2020 across the counties that used Dominion Machines, as compared to 2016.

So, if the machines were rigging the vote, they did a horrible job, as they IMPROVED Trump’s margins over 2016.

There were two counties in Wisconsin where Biden netted a lot more votes than Hillary, and both of them account for far more than Biden’s overall margin in the State.

In Dane County, Biden netted 34715 more votes as compared to 2016. In Milwaukee County, Biden netted 20292 more votes than in 2016.

Neither County uses Dominion machines.

https://elections.wi.gov/elections-voting/voting-equipment/voting-equipment-use

I can do the exact same thing in Pennsylvania. Trump improved in margin in the 14 Counties that used Dominion Machines. The two counties with the biggest net vote toward Biden in Pennsylvania (Chester and Allegheny) do not use Dominion machines.

The “DA DOMIN” trailer park myth is killing us, because it is stopping us from implementing real reform, and it is depressing the vote from people who just parrot what grifters with blogs tell them.

Look... at ... the.... data.

Not only that, there is no requirement to live in the District, only within the State.

She probably lives in DC anyway.

Too bad there’s no one left to have sex with at her age that might be able to drag her into Congress when they croak.

Looks like her gig’s up, just another old bag with calloused knees.

Thank you, FRiend. The margin of cheat is about 3-4%. It’s the way it is because the rats have cheated for decades and know all the tricks. Our goal should be to beat them by 5-6% in all competitive districts. Whining about Dominion doesn’t help.
