As Long Angeles crime spirals out of control, even some of the city's wealthiest residents have flocked to Beverly Hills' only gun store to buy firearms to protect themselves and their belongings.
Beverly Hills Guns first opened by appointment only in July 2020, and has seen upscale residents from Santa Monica to the Hollywood Hills increasingly in a panic following some high-profile smash and grabs and violent home invasions in recent weeks, Los Angeles Magazine reports.
Many are self-proclaimed progressives who've never even held a gun before, but who've been so spooked by soaring crime in the famously wealthy enclave that they've decided to arm themselves.
Some have also discussed more elaborate security measures, such as armored cars, safe rooms and bulletproof glass inside their homes, after some celebrities, including a star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and a BET host were stalked by robbers into their homes.
Jacqueline Avant, 81, a philanthropist and the wife of music legend Clarence Avant, was also killed in a home invasion robbery and shooting earlier this month.
'Everyone has a general sense of constant fear, which is very sad,' said Beverly Hills Guns owner Russell Stuart. 'We're used to this being like Mayberry.' He was referring to the peaceful fictional town from The Andy Griffith Show and Mayberry RFD.
But over the past year, Hollywood's total violent crime rate increased 25 percent with its homicide rate doubling, robberies up 41.6 percent and shootings up 54.2 percent over last year, Los Angeles Police Department shows.

Nothing more sad but also funny(Schadenfreude) is to see a riot take place, and the locals rush to the gun store to buy protection only to find they have to wait ten days to pick up their firearm. A law these same people voted for!
So they have to wait ten days protected by a baseball bat or a mop handle with a knife tied to it.
The original two day waiting period, to prevent suicides, went up from two days to ten during one of Cali’s anti gun fits.
The police were thrilled that the waiting period stopped several people from shooting them selves, even though those same people committed suicide by other methods.

It’s called Third Worldization! It’s the utter breakdown of the law, and the ability of the rich within such a feudal society to find ways to avoid the violent chaos.
Neistat was right in identifying a pandemic of crime in Los Angeles as Third Worldization. In a recent online exchange, YouTuber, Casey Neistat vented his anger after his car was broken into and the contents stolen. Los Angeles, he railed, was turning into a “3rd world s***hole of a city.”
The predictable role of the smug, indifferent Third World rich, who master ignoring – and navigating around – the misery of others in their midst. In a medieval-type society of two rather than three classes, the rich in walled estates rarely worry that much about thievery. Crime is written off as an intramural problem of the poor, especially when the middle class is in decline or nonexistent.
Such impoverishment pales in comparison to the encampments of present-day Fresno, Los Angeles, Sacramento, or San Francisco. Tens of thousands live on sidewalks and in open view use them to defecate, urinate, inject drugs, and dispose of refuse.
Violent crime is soaring in America. Two things are different about America’s new criminality.
• One is the virtual impunity of it. Thieves now brazenly swarm a store, ransack, steal, and flee with the merchandise without worry of arrest.
• • Second, the Left often justifies crime as a sort of righteous payback against a supposedly exploitative system.
So, the architect of the so-called 1619 Project, Nikole Hannah-Jones, preened of the riotous destruction of property during the summer of 2020: “Destroying property, which can be replaced, is not violence.”
Third Worldization reflects the asymmetry of law enforcement. Ideology and money, not the law, adjudicate who gets arrested and tried, and who does not.

It’s the leniency of politicians like California Governor Gavin Newsom/Gruesome which is ultimately responsible for the descent into barbarism and this organized looting/piracy with masses of looters.
This organized massed looting is similar to a problem our forefathers had at one time. It was called piracy. They shot or hung pirates and then sank their ships with the pirates on board.
That worked for about 3+ centuries until George SoreA$$’s Elites’ took over our blue states, cities, mayors, local and state attorney generals, governors and often, the local police chiefs.
This has allowed George SoreA$$’s elites and his well funded BLMers to have free reign over many blue cities and states and now, the plundering of the Nordstrom’s in Walnut Creek.

They need to buy some of those “armed response” signs while they are waiting. Los Angeles area criminals should start getting the message that they may be forfeiting their lives if they keep up the home invasions and follow-home robberies.
How about kicking the corrupt democrats and their evil policies to the curb and voting in some conservative law and order politicians?
If conservatives were doing this, they’d be accused of vigilanteism and racism.

I’d be in favor of not warning them.

I think the news would spread faster and the lesson would be learned quicker.
