As far as gun shots go, these are comparatively good ones because they’re not caused by police or by people trying to protect their property. Most likely it’s just criminals, which is OK.

The article says that the neighborhood is “snow-dappled”. I’ll bet the shootings started because of a disagreement about the meaning of “dappled“.
