We are really off to the races in the NorthEast, including D.C. - record highs for daily new cases.
How does this compare with December 28, 2020?
185,417 cases and 2,374 deaths on 12/28/20.
Considering the vax + all new treatments, doesn’t seem like much of an improvement.
So less deaths, more “cases”
Only deaths matter. Everyone is getting it, so why count cases?
Texas deaths are holding steady at under 60/day. if it doesn’t spike to over 100/day by Jan 15, the Pandemic is officially over in Texas.

Dec 28, 2020 was 2,300 deaths/185K cases
Dec 29, 2020 was 3,800 deaths/207K cases
There aren’t as many 90 years olds in blue state nursing homes in 2021 to kill as there was in 2020.

The thing we are learning is that viruses adapt as fast as we can. The vaccines and ivermectin that may have worked great last year, have been bypassed by new strains.
The only good news is that in forcing the virus to adapt it is becoming less deadly.
