“The charts themselves are a picture of astonishing policy failure: not the failure to stop the virus but rather the belief and policy that imagined that doing so was possible at all.”

For what it’s worth, they also paint a picture of failing to stop the virus. The recent surge is proof that nothing that was shoved down our throats did anything at all - ESPECIALLY SO-CALLED “VACCINES”.

Trust is gone and will stay that way for a very long time.

I think that is going to be an enormous repercussion of this whole thing.

From the article: Trust is gone and will stay that way for a very long time. The longer the experts who did this to the world refuse to acknowledge and admit their failure, the longer the healing will take.

I fully believe the "experts" keep doubling down because they know the trust is irreparably broken. Up until recently, I thought it would take a generation for the medical industry to regain the trust they lost when they denied science and aligned themselves with Pfascist korporations and government. Now I don't think they'll ever regain it.

Who would ever trust them when they so blatantly lied and covered things up in an age of instant communications?

The ‘rona is in deer and mink. It’s infecting animals so there is no vaccinating around it; you can’t vax and boost every deer in the forest and every mink in the rivers.

Trying the same thing with “Climate Change”. They (the Left) are in a rut.

I tested positive yesterday (had a fever and took an at home rapid rest). The end of day 2: so far so good. Feels like a cold with a fever (100.6). I still can taste and smell which I’m happy about. Vaxxed in March, no booster.

What was haywire about March 2020 was that it was an election year, and the Ahabs in the democrat party were pulling out all the stops to harpoon Moby Trump. Nobody could think of a rational response. Censoring any doubts about their response doesn’t win trust either.

>>Consider that Covid cases in both New York and Florida have reached record levels, and at some point increases in deaths are likely to follow, though not as bad as prior seasons.

Bad assumption based in the info coming out of RSA and elsewhere. The dreaded omicron variant looks like a cold or flu. Runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, headache, fatigue. And people aren’t dying from it. But you wouldn’t know that from the omicron FUD pushed by our media. “Not as bad” is a severe understatement from the looks of things.

It gets back to the early Covid story of the Amish gentleman who when asked why Covid hadn’t had a big effect in the Amish community, answered: “We don’t have television.”

The numbers on omicron really, really don’t justify all the media FUD that has kept this thing going for 2 years.

Covid in in present and future forms is endemic. Just like the common cold.

I find that I can’t really think about the amount of wrongness in all this. For personal reasons, it overwhelms me.

This will happen to a lot of people.

Maybe it is better if they don’t admit they were wrong, because then people can just think of it all as a horrible event rather than an action some people took.

Then we will be able to take the good and not worry too much about the bad.
