Jake West was a seemingly healthy 17-year-old when he collapsed during high school football practice in Indiana and died of sudden cardiac arrest. A video widely shared online falsely suggests COVID-19 vaccination is to blame, weaving headlines about him into a rapid-fire compilation of news coverage about athletes collapsing.

The vaccine played no role in West’s death — he died from an undiagnosed heart condition in 2013, seven years before the pandemic began.

“My tragedy of losing my son is always upsetting, and to think that somebody would use that for their gain is very upsetting,” she said. “It’s mind-boggling to me that there are people out there like that that want to spread or have their own agenda.”

It is so sad that FR seems to have become Conspiracy Central and practically a mirror site for the likes of The Daily Expose and other nutter conspiracy sites/clickbait farms (mainly posted and pushed by Q followers, whose new obsession appears to be the vaccines).

It is indeed sad we cannot reasonably discuss this subject. The rabid anti-vaxxers here claim anyone who does not buy into their crazy conspiracy theories* is a “Fauci stooge” or some such, and call themselves “purebloods” as opposed to the vaxxed “mudbloods”. It is doubly sad that conservatives are being divided along this line (crazed conspiracy pushers vs reasonable conservatives who are skeptical of both sides’ propaganda).

Are there certain people who should be cautioned about the vaccine, for example those who have certain heart conditions? And at the same time need to take extra precautions against contracting Covid? Because those people may suffer terrible life-threatening effects from both the virus itself and the vaccine? This is a legitimate question. But it cannot be discussed reasonably here because the Q-inspired conspiracy nuts mob every thread.

FR has become an interesting, if depressing, study in mob psychology. The rabid believe-anything nuts drive the thoughtful, reasonable people away. I confess I have oscillated between “standing and fighting” for the sanity of FR and recoiling in horror at what a whacky fringe site FR is becoming. Back in the old days here, we had the contrail nuts, etc., even a few lizard people nuts. But the reasonable folks (along with thier Viking kitties and pancake bunnies) predominated and kept the site sane, while allowing for freedom of speech and healthy skepticism of the MSM line. Now ... not so much. It’s become quite distasteful and too often ugly, as can be seen here with the rabid anti-vaxxers wishing death on those who disagree with them on *any* point, no matter how preposterous the anti-vaxxer’s assertion.

Those of us who question both the “official line” (yep, they’ve lied to us re masks and lots of other things) and the “opposition” (the sources all too often posted here — like The Daily Expose — have lied like crazy, emphasis on crazy) seem to be fading away here. It’s really sad. FR used to a vibrant, informative, interesting — and even influential — site. Now it’s headed beyond Alex Jones territory, beyond the Twilight Zone, and into pure Bedlam conspiracy nightmare.

My main point: Thank you for standing for reason and sanity. Sincerely. I wish there were more brave enough to do so.

*Such as: the vaccines contain itty bitty razor blades and wriggling worm-like “parasites”, make you magnetic (!), are 99% graphene, will “ give you malaria”, will give you AIDS, and on and on and on. All of which presume a worldwide conspiracy involving tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands.

What about all those lowly lab workers at their microscopes all over the globe tasked with batch checking? Are they all keeping mum about the wiggly parasites and teeny tiny razor blades? Why aren’t all the vaxxed enjoying their magnetism? It sounds really cool and fun! Imagine all the cool stuff you could do! Why haven’t any lab workers noticed those big ol’ malaria parasites wandering about in blood samples of the vaxxed? Are they part of the vast conspiracy, too? Look at this thread, and consider how many people have demonstrated a lack of discernment. They care very little about the story and dismiss it because Reuters, The Guardian, etc have posted the news story.

The data in VAERS supplies some support for what you are saying. Granted, VAERS only captures 1% or less of actual adverse events, it still shows that in 30 years of vaccine data collection, Covid 'vaccines' already account for 73% of all cardiac arrests published to VAERS after only one year of administration.

Think of all the years of annual flu shots - and yet 1 year of Covid 'shots' have more than 10 times the number of cardiac arrest reports compared with flu shots. Strokes and blood clots have a similar data pattern, with Covid 'vaccines' accounting for the majority of reports - in just one year.

These days, many doctors say they either don't know what VAERS is, don't have time to file a report, or they are punished for reporting such events for Covid 'vaccines' so accusations that doctors are somehow reporting MORE this year are ridiculous. The CDC makes reporting cumbersome and with fired medical staff (per mandate) and supposedly large caseloads, they don't have more time to file a report if they wanted to.

VAERS is supposed to be a 'safety signal'. If an unusual number of reports start mounting up in VAERS for particular symptom(s), the CDC/FDA are supposed to halt administration of the 'vaccine' until they can research the issues to find the cause. While Covid 'shots' were amassing large numbers of reports of death and injuries by January, but the CDC is deaf to the safety signal - NOTHING will make them stop distributing their bioweapon. Normally the FDA puts a black-box warning on products with 50 deaths - but by January there were over 1000 adverse events of 'death' reported post Covid 'vaccine'. The Covid 'shots' are a runaway train that the CDC wants to protect.

Reading comments here, and reflecting on my own experience, I think it would be better to say that quite a few Freepers have become worn out and exasperated with the constant nonsense and bully mobs, and seeing very little backup from like-minded reasonable members here, have drifted away.

It does become tiresome to constantly feel one is swimming against the tide here, but really, if we want to save FR from the sewer of insane conspiracy nonsense, we must persevere and remain vocal.

I've been involved in many major fights on FR over the years, and your post could refer to many of them.

I'm going to shove your post aside (it could have been written by any Lefty whackjob on the Twittsewer) and point out one simple thing:

The vaxx promoters are blocking all the exits.

The hydroxychloroquine protocol? Make up phony "clinical tests" to smear it, then use the Brandon Media in a coordinated campaign to block access to it.

Ivermectin? Same exact scenario - but they had the added complication of the medication being available at any Tractor Supply. No problem - another coordinated Brandon Media project, with censored social media lending a helping hand [FDA tweet: “You are not a horse. You are not a cow. You are not a member of Congress. Seriously, y’all. Stop it.”]. Followed by blocking access, up to and including threatening physicians and pharmacists who dared prescribe and fill prescriptions, and along with seizing Ivermectin shipments at border crossings.

Bullying Amazon and the like to make the supplement NAC hard to get.

The next step was firing people who refused the jab, using threats of OSHA bullying to "encourage" willing corporate partners to go full Fascist.
