Xi Jinping’s crackdown on almost everything in China may be a sign of insecurity or tremendous fear of the monied business sector.
China is currently in a state of stagflation where prices are going up for everything and unemployment is rising, which is a harbinger of little economic growth in the foreseeable future.
Xi Jinping’s crackdown on almost everything in China may be a sign of insecurity or tremendous fear of the monied business sector. Tencent and Alibaba were in the 10 topmost valuable tech companies globally in 2020 and today they are no longer on the list. 38% of the apps disappeared from the app market since 2018. China is about to ban offshore trading services, has not only cracked down on big tech but also social media, tuitions, and games. The crackdown was rationalized in the name of common prosperity, but it is more like a vendetta against businesses --which is causing foreign investors to flee China, making Chinese markets lose 1.5 trillion dollars. The crackdown on celebrities resulted in one social media influencer being fined $210 million.
The CCP wants to dominate Chinese minds and bodies and keep money in China for the Chinese, so it is about to stop the flow of money out of the country, which started by many Chinese businessmen preparing to flee the country. With such a large crackdown on businesses that provide many jobs, China is digging its own grave in the long run and Xi Jinping doesn’t realize it yet.
The unemployed and semi-unemployed might reach 300M+ people, newly unemployed in 7 industries such as entertainment, real estate, and education tutoring. Foreign companies are leaving China – giants like Panasonic, Samsung, Toshiba, Foxconn for a total of about 20,000 companies.

In addition to the Epoch Times, they run NTD News, which I consider to be pretty good. They also have an orchestra and are involved with the Shen Yun dance troupe. They don’t have much advertising, they don’t beg for money, and they don’t even push their spiritual beliefs that hard. I wonder where they get their money. There has to be some heavy hitters in the background who are financing them. I hope you are right about them leading the revolution. Someone has to rally the Chinese people to throw off these commies once and for all.

After Hurricane Harvey they donated significant relief money. But you had to dig it out to know it was them.
Just like what still happens in Russia also.
I really enjoy stories about Communist China collapsing.
Unfortunately, the stories never seem to come true.
“When totalitarian leaders get into trouble like this they often start wars to distract from the problems.”
Yes they do! But this one will be different. Over the last 20 plus years, we have helped them modernize and grow rapidly, while we have become dependent on their cheap labor and watched them as they have aggressively ramped up their military power with stolen technology (or technology we gifted). And don’t forget, they have pushed their territorial envelope in every way possible with over 15 border disputes with their neighbors, building islands in the middle of the ocean, and constantly claiming to make Taiwan a part of the CCP.
And then you add to that their new love for Russia (and vice versa) and Russia’s potential move against Ukraine and fighting a bunch of “she men” and a demented president, it is not hard to understand that the U.S. could quickly be outgunned and outmanned (I use the term “manned” very loosely).
After Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan it’s time we fixed our own house before we tell others how to fix theirs — cause ours is broken bad!
We be in trouble.

That says a lot about them. I read the Epoch Times and watch NTD. They have more interest and put more effort into preserving our historical European culture than we do. They may well be the ones who wind up saving it.
>>those are the perfect times to rally the population as the country patriotically rushes across the South China Sea.<<
During severe economic hardship, countries start wars to elevate unemployment and ignite manufacturing.
It’s been happening like that for thousands of years.
