Xi Jinping’s crackdown on almost everything in China may be a sign of insecurity or tremendous fear of the monied business sector.
China is currently in a state of stagflation where prices are going up for everything and unemployment is rising, which is a harbinger of little economic growth in the foreseeable future.
Xi Jinping’s crackdown on almost everything in China may be a sign of insecurity or tremendous fear of the monied business sector. Tencent and Alibaba were in the 10 topmost valuable tech companies globally in 2020 and today they are no longer on the list. 38% of the apps disappeared from the app market since 2018. China is about to ban offshore trading services, has not only cracked down on big tech but also social media, tuitions, and games. The crackdown was rationalized in the name of common prosperity, but it is more like a vendetta against businesses --which is causing foreign investors to flee China, making Chinese markets lose 1.5 trillion dollars. The crackdown on celebrities resulted in one social media influencer being fined $210 million.
The CCP wants to dominate Chinese minds and bodies and keep money in China for the Chinese, so it is about to stop the flow of money out of the country, which started by many Chinese businessmen preparing to flee the country. With such a large crackdown on businesses that provide many jobs, China is digging its own grave in the long run and Xi Jinping doesn’t realize it yet.
The unemployed and semi-unemployed might reach 300M+ people, newly unemployed in 7 industries such as entertainment, real estate, and education tutoring. Foreign companies are leaving China – giants like Panasonic, Samsung, Toshiba, Foxconn for a total of about 20,000 companies.

The "conservative" Roberts' court has decided the same thing here....see Kelso.
Kelo v. City of New London, 545 U.S. 469 (2005), was a case decided by the Supreme Court of the United States involving the use of eminent domain to transfer land from one private owner to another private owner to further economic development. In a 5–4 decision, the Court held that the general benefits a community enjoyed from economic growth qualified private redevelopment plans as a permissible "public use" under the Takings Clause of the Fifth Amendment.
However, it certainly seems like something Roberts would do.
“Would this not be the most opportune time for the US to offer the world a business and manufacturing-friendly environment? “
The American people for the most part (but not all) are self centered what’s in it for me people. They want to feel in control.
They are about to experience a major mid-life crisis and enter despair. Despair is necessary to motivate people to surrender to God, for the same reason there are no atheists in foxholes.
The CCP has taught mainland Chinese to stay out of politics, just leave it to the CCP, work hard and earn lots of money, It will take an economic depression for the majority to think the CCP has failed.
Maybe the “great reset” folks want WWIII.
They want FEAR. As fear lowers a person’s consciousness and makes them easy to control and manipulate.
“ When totalitarian leaders get into trouble like this they often start wars to distract from the ptoblems.”
*************
Yup, my thought as well. Taiwan, guns up! Be at the ready!
Not the same at all.
In eminent domain takings, the government is required to pay for the property.
There are quite a few takings by government in the United States where this is not required, and that is wrong (asset forfieture, EPA mandates, Endangered Species).
But China just makes up crimes which were not crimes before, and takes everything they want.
Bingo! They definitely are up to something! The world is about to get rocked again! But this time it’s the evil red Dragon empire coming after world domination And unfortunately with the loony commander in chief that sits in the White House, China is very close to accomplishing their mission. They literally have the chicken chit world leaders in their pockets AND by the short hairs ...economically, monetary and militarily too! Pray that God shows us mercy for the sake of 50. 🙏🏻
My wife commented that the communist party is just another dynasty, little difference from the rest.
China’s economy improved dramatically when they permitted a bit of Capitalism (Fascism, exactly as pre-WWII Germany did). Now they are trying to reign in that Capitalism and move more towards classic Communism. That is plain fact.
That their economy will collapse is inevitable. The questions are when and how much damage to the rest of the world will happen when it does.
Since they provide so much of the global supply chain, should their economy collapse it will likely cause a global recession. The more likely scenario of expansion and war will cause not only a global depression, it will likely usher in another World War.
IMHO the first step, taking Taiwan, will happen not long after the Olympics are over.
Agree
XI AND then-VP JOE....(BFF, as long as the checks to the Biden family clear)
Now is the time to start a war with America being socialist and leaderless. No greater opportunity than now.
Let’s go Brandon.
Elusive ex-British special forces officer
Founded consultancy involved in secret arrangement
facilitated Joe Biden’s ‘10% stake in dirty China deal’

A former British special forces officer with ties to UK intelligence services is at the center of Joe Biden’s alleged 10 per cent stake in a dirty deal with China.
James Gilliar wrote a now-infamous email to Hunter Biden in 2017 suggesting ‘the big guy’ would own a tenth of the interest in a multi-million-dollar deal with Chinese oil behemoth CEFC through his son.
Though the email, allegedly referring to Joe Biden, was perhaps the most shocking among the tens of thousands on Hunter’s abandoned laptop and has the greatest implications for American democracy – still little is known about Hunter’s shadowy business partner.

And I should have added “cheap energy” to the list.
Energy is the root of all economics. The early industrial revolution was built on steam power and coal energy. Pumping to clear mines of water, power for early transportation (steam locomotives), smelting of minerals (especially iron and steel making), etc.
Of course the Left, through their Watermelon Greens (green on the outside, Communist red on the inside) are trying to kill cheap energy, too, along with the rest of the list.
You can’t power modern civilization on wind and solar. It cannot be done.
One day the ChiComs will “nationalize” the electronics industry and kick out westerners and just take it all. LOL! I will relish that day our free Traitors get their rightful comeuppance.
Much of the overbuilding are called "trowel" buildings...because you need to bring a trowel, cement and sheet rock paste to finish the job.
Bottom line though is SCOTUS said this can be done.
