Political observers long knew of Biden's authoritarian leanings before he took office, but now they are on full display.
Less than one year since he assumed office, Joe Biden has managed to turn his presidency into a deeply unpopular monarchy. No longer is he the genial but generally harmless buffoon who entertained most of us while he was in Congress with his mispronunciations, misquotes, and embellished tales of dubious authenticity. As a result of the 2020 presidential election that was, at best, questionable, Biden was elevated well past his ability, and he proceeded to wreck virtually everything he touched as leader of the free world.
On his first day in office, via executive order, Biden closed the Keystone pipeline for no other reason than a spiteful rebuke of President Trump's energy independence program. It was a hare-brained sop to his fellow environmentalist lunatics who believed that this gesture would somehow "heal the planet" and reduce the phantom scourge of climate change. How that was supposed to make a difference is anybody's guess. It did, however, immediately succeed in reducing the supply of petroleum to our nation and raising the price of consumer gasoline and oil, as well as transporting goods. Great start there, Joe!
In August, Biden began a bizarre, ill advised, and poorly executed withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan, which stranded many U.S. civilians and military personnel there and left a reported $85 billion in taxpayer funded, top-of-the-line, and completely operational military equipment for our Taliban enemies to plunder, which they did. Biden decided that it was a great idea to evacuate troops first and let the rest of the area and our abandoned facilities fall into chaos afterward. Images of people running to catch airplanes out of the war-torn cesspool flooded the airwaves, which served to underscore

In his up is down and evil is good world, I can see why Brandon thinks Iran should have nukes and we should disarm.
It’s a cliche because it’s been pointed out a million times, but Biden doesn’t seem capable of running anything.
So, we have the worst of all worlds — a Monarchy in which an authoritarian government oppresses us and intrudes upon our daily lives, and we don’t even know for sure the name of the person who is doing it to us.
Braindead is the opposite of King Midas. Everything he touches turns to chit.
There. Fixed it.
“we don’t even know for sure the name of the person who is doing it to us”
I think it’s more than one person......I’d put George soros at the top of the list.
“Biden decided that it was a great idea”
More nonsense from the American Thinker.
Ascribing agency to a poor, sick old man being used as a prop by evil forces deflects attention from who is in charge and what, exactly, is going on.
The fact that National Review and the American Thinker do this constantly could almost make you think they were in on the con.
King Biden? Really. He is nothing but a sock puppet. Or maybe the senile King Lear.
Look, what is occurring is that representative government has been usurped by totalitarian public health bureaucracies that are not controlled by legislatures at all; and by big private corporate bureaucracies that invade private lives, also not under control of self government. Biden exercises no control over these zombie organizations. The courts have refused to limit them also (I think this may be because the courts depend on public outlays and that the federal government is effectively broke).
The federal welfare state can no longer be afforded. That is what is going on. And the virus hoax is being used as a way to redistribute welfare to the vaxxed and excluding the unvaxxed without any oversight of legislatures or courts. And you are worried about King Biden???
How does an inoperable pipeline do that?
Continuous rolling articles from American Stinker and Townhole give an excellent view of the collapsed conservative movement.
Then there are those who believe there’s nothing wrong with Biden, and it’s all an act. He’s just a straight up commie a-hole.
I disagree about the names of those behind the curtain - Obama, Rice, Jerrat, Soros, and an army of Ivy League educated leftist trust-fund babies whose arrogance knows no limits. They believe they were born to rule.
You’re right. Biden has been a corrupt sleazebag for decades, but he’s not responsible for what’s going on at the White House now. Go further down the street to the Obama House for that.
I think the Keystone action along with other things affected the oil futures markets, driving upprices. Biden did the following:
-He shut down oil and energy development in ANWAR which would have increased production through the use of the Alaska pipeline. This drives up oil futures prices.
-He halted the completion of the Keystone Pipeline which stopped future efficiencies in moving Canadian oil. It will continue to be trucks and by rail. This reduces future volume and drives up oil futures prices.
-He banned new energy develoment on federal lands. That is a large portion of the country. Again, future production projection goes down and oil futures prices go up.
-He shut down the sale of newenergy leases in the Gulf of Mexico. Future production projection goes down and oil futures prices go up.
-He and other leftists in congress indicate that they would like to bankrupt the oil industry. This adds uncertainty and oil futures prices rise.
-Then he begs OPEC to increase production, which they refused to do. This indicates that oil supplies will remain constrained and oil futures rise.
The only thing that has prevented skyrocketing gas prices is that we remain partially locked down due to COVID.
While I agree with you that the author was incorrect in stating that the Keystone construction stoppage haused immediate supply problems, it did affect the oil futures outlook.
Beware his designated heir quietly waiting in the wings.
Someone with a blank slate record, telegenic, and ready to be a puppet for The Revolution.
Maybe the selected heir will be the transgender four-star Admiral. DemocRATs seem to swoon over the transgenders.
He would do what he has done even if not addlepated and feeble.
No pass here. He has always been an easy mark, and willing.
BTW, his teenage wife is despicable. And a lousy ventriloquist.
Thanks, I had the same question. No action, like killing Keystone, occurs in a vacuum.
I agree with your comment 100%.
