I have an airlift pistol and rifle. They are licensed from from the makers of real firearms, and are identical to the real thing, on the outside.
How the heck was anyone supposed to figure that out, as if it is some kind of evidence of poor policework or self defense?

The reason “toy guns” and “replica guns” are illegal to brandish is there is no way in under three seconds at most to distinguish one for certain.
1) Maybe it’s only a toy (four shots kill three people including the officer in next five seconds.)
2) Drop the weapon. I am a police officer. Doesn’t comply, aims it at officer, then is shot. Dead thug had toy after all.
3) terrified bystander in store is held hostage until clerks hand over money. Turns out to be a toy gun. Defense attorney in court: “And you never saw a real weapon because my client had nothing but a toy. He will go to prison for a toy.”

What was she trying to accomplish? Rob the store? Rob a customer? Get a cop to kill her? Did she say anything? Or was this woman just a stoned, drunk, or naturally impaired nut?
