It looks like The National Pulse reported the story first, with no link to any legislative agenda showing this atrocity being up for a vote. Other conservative sites followed TNP's lead of

On January 5th, 2022, the New York Senate and Assembly will vote on a bill that would, if passed into law, grant permissions to remove and detain cases, contacts, carriers, or anyone suspected of presenting a “significant threat to public health” and remove them from public life on an indefinite basis.

Let's be clear: this bill is antithetical to life, liberty, and property. And while I don't doubt that many people's imagination can get carried away in these matters, the reason why imaginations run wild is because "it can't happen here" tends to happen here more often than we like. Can you say Tuskegee? Japanese Internment Camps? Ventura County's 2020 lockdown of public housing?

And, to be fair, TNP's co-founder Raheem Kassam (formerly of Breitbart) probably has better connections than all of us combined. Maybe someone tipped him off.

But I'd appreciate SOME help...maybe "a source inside the Senate" or "I've been told by a friend of a friend of a friend that maybe..." or anything.

We live in unusual times. But the first casualty still seems to be the truth. I've come to regard American Thinker and Gateway Pundt as co-title holders of the the least-accurate/trustworthy "conservative" sources of news, with Washington Examiner polling right behind them. I guess TNP is now in this race, too.

It was probably introduced as a stunt to get its author — a NYC-area nutcase assemblyman named Noah Nicholas Perry — noticed by the incoming Biden administration. Perry has been nominated to be ambassador to Jamaica (the country, not the neighborhood of NYC), which is where he came from.

This story is more of an "elections have consequences" story than it is an alarm bell of imminent danger to our liberty.

This guy is no more dangerous than A-O-C, or Rashida Tlaib, or Ilhan Omar, or any other member of The Squad, or most currently serving Democrats for that matter.

[[Let’s be clear: this bill is antithetical to life, liberty, and property. ]]

I suspect that demo rats don’t even care if it is antithetical or not anymore. The whole, vaccine mandates violate constitutional rights. They don’t care znd make no apology and offer no explanation- they just go ahead and demand that peop.e get them or lose their right to life (denied health care) liberty and property and pursuit of happiness.
