New York (CNN Business)This year hackers have unleashed cyberattacks against pipelines, ferry boats, meat packers, even police departments. And now they've come for the cream cheese.
In October, a cyberattack against the largest US cheese manufacturer contributed to a nationwide cream cheese shortage shortly before the holidays, Bloomberg News reported, endangering holiday treats for millions.
Bloomberg reported the attack targeted plants and distribution centers. As a result, Wisconsin-based Schreiber Foods was unable to fully operate for several days — just as it was heading into its peak busy period before the Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and Christmas holidays.....

This must be some kind of CNN fearporn. Not sure why they would do that with Potato Joe in charge but panic, fear and division does seem to be a big part of their game plan.
Yep. Trying to start food fights, or something.
Can’t have any peace and calm.
It’s the same people who killed bubblegum cigarettes.
Naw, she is fixated on the Big Meat Conglomerates
My online Christmas shopping (food stuffs) has been a nightmare, hopefully arrives tomorrow.

The CPM (corporate propaganda media) must have really been proud of themselves in April 2020 when they panicked the entire nation into stripping the shelves in every grocery store in America.
I’d like to live to see some payback. :)
This is bullbleep fear porn. A week ago I was in a Kroger and there must have been 300 boxes of several different brands of creme cheese.
Make your own, better, more delicious cream cheese!!
Take good quality pain Greek yogurt, place it in a couple layers of chessecloth over a strainer and bowl, let the whey drain out of it in your refrigerator.
Cream cheese is only yogurt minus the whey…
Give me Philadelphia Cream Cheese or give me death
They don’t keep paper record?
LOL!!!! people live and die by the internet now.
Try to call an actual rep on your order, you talk to a machine, and it cuts you off...
Oh yeah, those Russian Hackers out to get our Cream Cheese.
Hackers are messing up the port computers. Hackers took the distributor caps off half of America’s trucks, too!
Yeah, that’s it.
This is what happens when you get rid of people who know how to do things and replace them with automation. You mean to tell me there isn’t anybody who knows how to make Cream Cheese without a computer? Nobody knows how to rack and stack ships at the port using a paper and pencil?
No blintzes for you comrade!
Yet people here on FR embrace the automated suck..
The internet is really nice but put not your trust in it when FedGov comes calling. Or even State Gov for that matter.
Smiling at them and asking exactly what record they would like to see and then bringing them the folders one at a time can result in you passing the audit.
Let them into your electronic records and they are going to go fishing, no matter what the warrant says. And you did something wrong. Absolutely guarantee it. There is no way you can follow every single rule because what did not apply to you last year will apply to you this year for... reasons.
Not to mention the regulations that contradict each other.
So what is the draw of Aldi’s?
I walked into one just out of curiosity and was not inspired to shop there.
Are their brands of exceptional quality and/or value?
I liked the old ways fine
