One hundred and 10 cases have been hospitalized and 9 have died. Eight COVID-19 variant cases were reinfections. One hundred and twenty-three people were considered fully vaccinated before infection with a COVID-19 variant.”

Those are pretty similar case rates of each variant to Colorado except as of yesterday only 2 cases of Omicron.

It's a virus, virus mutate. Happens every year but prior to 2020 it was called "the flu". Prior to this we've never had mandates, lock-downs, business shuttered, children masked all day at school (when school is open) for a virus.
What worries me the most is how so many people are reacting to this. They line up like helpless sheep breathlessly awaiting the next order from their overlords.
Never have politicians and government agencies, all over the globe, been given so much power. They won't give it up easily.
Considering how slowly Alpha initially spread, it really is amazing that Omi is in 57 countries and in 40 states within 3-4 weeks of its ‘discovery’ in the western hemisphere. Denmark, for instance, had a planeload of 60 infected which were quarantined (and may still be). Yet 10% of their new infections are Omi.
We can of course, blame Biden for being stupid and lifting travel restrictions on Nov 8 - resulting in the first case in San francisco of a SA traveler on Nov 15. Among the first 43 Omi patients, one third were international travelers and two thirds were close contact or community spread from that traveler, with 58% of the patients being between 18 and 39 and 21% unvaccinated but testing. As of Dec 10, less than 3 weeks, the virus had spread to 22 states and was starting to show up in Florida waste treatment water tests.
