I’m from Vancouver BC. A LOT of my classmates were either Sikh or Punjabi. Unlike here in America, they are deeply entrenched in Canada for many generations. They are heavily in construction. I still remember back in the 90’s, the idiot mexicans tried to get into the business, and they were thwarted every time.

There is a large Sikh population here in San Jose. They have a beautiful temple in the east hills. I have gone there several times to avail myself of their daily free food offering. I think that’s particularly cool.

Their religion, which is tightly bound to their own culture, sprung from the Buddhists who wouldn’t even fight to save their own lives against Islamic terrorism.
