What then is behind this new left-wing hysteria about the supposed looming end of democracy?
It is quite simple. The Left expects to lose power over the next two years - both because of the way it gained and used it, and because of its radical, top-down agendas that never had any public support.
After gaining control of both houses of Congress and the presidency - with an obsequious media and the support of Wall Street, Silicon Valley, higher education, popular culture, entertainment and professional sports - the Left has managed in just 11 months to alienate a majority of voters.

Gosh. If US citizens actually had a say in how our government functions, it would be the end of democracy.
Progressives liberals and Democrats all feel the US is on stolen land with no right to exist.

Yes, a brilliant chess move! It could be quite an effective narrative to use. I wonder among which voting block it would be most popular: Effete upper class intellectuals ("limousine liberals"), die-hard leftists, or low-information lower class ethnic voters ("Gibmedats"). In other words: To whom, primarily, will the leftist "talking heads" on t.v. attempt to sell it?
In any event: Let's hope that it doesn't gain any traction.

I always laugh at the ignorant people who believe that.
You cannot "steal" something from someone who believes that the land does not belong to them, which was the belief of the American Indians.

True, these radicals twist language.
Communists have done this in the past.
Remember the German Democratic Republic? What about the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea? People’s Republic of China? The Republic of Cuba?
These names imply that these regimes are democratic, with a small “d”, republican with a small “r”, and that they reflect the will of the people who allegedly elected them to power.
Midterms will largely be stolen, and either the Demonrats will still have control of the House (PELOSI) or there will be a “Jumpin’ Jim Jeffords” type that will give it back to them. Look, we’re not voting our way out of this. There will be blood before it’s over.
Tellingly, the term used is not “Democracy”, it’s “Our Democracy”, the system that brought “Us” into power and denied it to “Them”, i.e. “You”: the unwashed, the Deplorables, the White Supremacists. Don’t think for a moment that “Our Democracy” includes a respect for one’s opponents or their votes.
