Blew over 18 wheelers?
Hell, the Santa Ana winds would do that all the time on I-10 out of L.A.
The truckers knew to stop under overpasses.

Damn. If only we had spent trillions on stopping warming. Or cooling. Or something. Anyway, it’s all about spending trillions.

Good thing there are no Ponderosa Pine or White Pine trees in Kansas. Those things are brittle and snap 50 feet off the ground when the winds hit 50 mph and higher.

NWS has wind advisory and it is windy but no tornado watch. Seems they expect it to dissipate soon.

Haven’t ever seen dirt in the air like that. I felt this crap coming. Look up and the sky is brown and plastic trash bins are blowing down the street at 50 mph. Then it sprinkled just a little so there is a coat of mud all over everything. My wife came out of work to find her Fiat 500 wrapped with 30’ chunk of aluminum siding from somewhere upwind. Just a few scratchs! All straight out of the south which is unusual and probly contributed to the dirt. The wind blows from the north 90% of the time. Aaaaahh! Kansas !!

Man, driving to work this morning here in TX, it was windy and there were a couple of places where the dust across the highway was pretty thick. Don’t want to think of what our friends further north are going through. Eek.

We live in Pratt, KS (south central). We have a few tree limbs (relatively small) down, saw some tense damage and heard scanner report of part of a roof blown off. At 1900 local time the wind is light and we are safe at home with our dog.

Climate update! Dust storm bombardment! Expect winds similar to what is found on the surface of Neptune, falling cow advisories have been issued.

I’ve driven through lake effect snow that results in that kind of visibility, however, it will not scour the paint off your car.

Back around 2000 while on a pheasant hunting trip to N.W. Kansas, I had the pleasure of spending one night in a bed and breakfast owned by a 94 year old woman in Logan, Kansas.
She was a walking encyclopedia of what life was like back during the great dust bowl and how her house in town was originally built outside of town but dragged into town by a mule train, pulling the house over logs laid on the trail.

I no way do I believe Democrat climate scam propaganda. However, the weather here in Oklahoma has been *very* strange today, just as it was Sunday. Unusually warm mornings, more like April or May, then fierce winds and darkening skies.
