Television star Jim Bob Duggar lost his bid for a seat in the Arkansas State Senate in a landslide defeat on Tuesday.
Results released by the state show that Duggar only earned 456 votes in the election, amounting to just 15.34 percent of the 2,270 Republican votes cast on Tuesday and 202 votes cast in early voting.
The election will now move into a runoff election on January 11 between Colby Fuller, who received 1,387 votes, making up 46.67 percent of the votes cast, and Steve Unger, who won won 941, or 31.6 percent.

Looks like my move to get rid of cable TV 10 years ago remains correct.
That’s my response to these holier-than-thou types. Always has been, and I’ve seldom been wrong. The harder they thump the Bible the more the stash of secrets they have to protect.
I appreciate the religious aspect of the family. Jim Bob has spoken some ideas that I don’t agree with politically, so if I were voting in that election, I would weigh all aspects of the candidates and would not vote for anyone just based on name recognition.
I’ve never watched it either. I know they have a disturbed son.
What is it about them besides that which causes you to condemn them?
All I know about them is they have a zillion kids and are openly Christian I think..and they live in Arkansas
Well, with their show, they were trying to project a certain image of their family. They tried to show aspects of their faith in the show. I heard that they saw the show as a way of proselytizing.
I wonder how many people decided to have a large family, and became members of the Independent Baptist denomination , due to being inspired by the Duggars?
Well, the way things go in politics, a certain number of people do vote on name recognition. I bet Jim Bob thought name recognition could carry him to victory.
The same is true with liberals - the louder they are about ‘social justice’ and ‘helping the poor’ the more likely they are to be totalitarian commies from hell. They would happily murder millions of conservative citizens and nullify the Constitution in the process.

Why is “accident” in scare quotes? It seems that it truly was an accident that a kid snuck out the door when she had turned her back. It happens. It’s an accident, not an “accident.”
