Mr Welch was prescient. It wasn’t in these short clips but I recall him saying one tactic to be employed by the collectivists was to get America involved in endless and unnecessary wars throughout the world. This was before Iraq and our longest war (which we lost), Afghanistan.

Yes they were. My friends and I belonged to the John Birch Society back in the day (1980’s). We attended their meetings and they were right on about what was happening already with the leftist communist take over of the country back then. The JBS was painted as a right wing looney bin. Typical tactic of the communist left.

I was first exposed to the JBS at a farm and horse show booth in ‘65. It took until the late 70s before I began to frequent American Opinion Libraries. In discussions and by books I purchased, they had an impact on my POV.

I still have a “Remember Flight 007” bumper sticker. My ‘78 Buick retired the one that said “The Brainwashed Never Wonder” with a side view of a guy with the CBS logo in his cranium.
