OK, we learned something new today. We’ve written a lot about DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) but we’d never heard of DEIBJ, which stands for “diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and justice” (how soon until we see DEIBJ+). The Skimm interviewed UC Berkeley’s new Vice Chancellor of Equity and Inclusion, Dania Matos, who describes the emotional toll of her $325,000 a year gig.
At the time of her interview, she’d only been at UC Berkeley for about a month, so her typical day consisted of “holding informal and formal listening sessions focused on truth-telling, trust, and transformation.”
The Skimm asked her about the hardest part of her job:
I am up against a lot of systems of power that are bigger than myself. It takes a little bit out of you. When you’re battling injustices, systemic oppression, racism, sexism - all those things - your heart breaks into a million pieces. I have to pick all those pieces up and put my heart back together every single time.
No wonder she rakes in the big bucks. Berkeley must be a hotbed of systemic oppression, racism, and sexism.

This person may have some serious mental health issues that includes and is reinforced by delusions of “all those things”. Serious mental problems can be exhausting and debilitating, no matter the political beliefs of the person.
Just read Ohio State has 130 plus employees in the Diversity program, average pay just under $80K per employee. Will need a lot of student loans in the future to keep money rolling in for this.

Why hasn’t anyone been arrested?
Chancellor of equity and inclusion?
The utter stupidity of academia never ceases to amaze me.
A ❄️ snowflake leading other snowflakes.
“The utter stupidity of academia never ceases to amaze me.”
It exists in many many companies too. I like to refer to DEI as D.I.E. because first dehumanizes certain people based on immutable genetically traits leading to the ultimate death of America’s constitutional principle of equal treatment under the law.
If the world was as they claim, there would be no one like her left by now.
Good Grief
And, we laughed at all of those yahoos getting degrees in Wymen’s Studies.
“Dania Matos (she/her/ella)”
163 smackeroos an hour (not including Golden Cadillac bennies) would enable me to lead with love...
She shop at the two color inclusion store ?.
