Can funny gun signs affect your self-defense rights? “Keep honking, I’m reloading.” “Trespassers will be shot; survivors will be shot again.” “This home protected by the Second Amendment.” “We don’t call 911.” The Armed Attorneys break down why your funny gun sign for your home or vehicle might not be so funny in a court of law.
I lost mine in a skiing accident in the Austrian Alps. I was practicing for Olympic biathlon.
Good advice. Like it or not today’s prosecutor’s in court are looking to screw you anyway they can if you use a firearm for self defense. They will examine everything about you. What you say, what you said, what you post and also your signs and stickers with the goal to accuse you of looking for trouble. If you own firearms and also conceal and carry it is best to keep a low profile and it is no ones business but your own.
The signs also create targets of opportunity.

Agreed…

Aha. Finally figured out.
Otzi was practicing for the Olympics.
And the Tort Lawyers are itching to SUE for “Failure to Warn” if you take them down and shoot somebody in self defense, right?
Yes. Run. Hide. Cower. Don’t stick up for your Rights or advocate their proper use. Criminals are now a protected class and any threat to them will be used against you.
Along with that... Women should not dress proactively, speech should be thoroughly monitored and censored, and offending anyone anywhere should be a capital offense.
We bemoan the loss of our Culture and then bow down to this.... crap.
Yep.
I'd also avoid similar social media posts.
Truth is, if you ever have to use a firearm in self defense, you can expect your social media history to be scoured looking for sentiments that shooting a bad guy is something you'd have enjoyed doing.
Then fix the Courts instead of turning to pusillanimity.
This is what they WANT. To make gun ownership and use as “icky” and as criminal as possible. Something not to be lauded and protected, but to be used as a priori evidence to continue to tear down that Right.
If you absolutely must send a message, a few empty shell casings, the larger caliber the better.
In that case, all gun owners should just log off social media altogether and just hide.
We are being made pariahs and this thread is a perfect example that it’s working quite well.
Overdue to start sticking such signs in public areas, back of Stop signs, etc. The message still needs to be spread.
“Wise as Serpants,
Gentle as Doves.”
.
It’s in that Book,
Somewhere.
Don’t set up a sign....
Just string a fishing line across the last step of the front step linked to something that makes a pin falling out noise followed by a loud ticking noise.
[ simply put, they demonstrate “intent”. ]
If intent to protect your self and property is now a crime...
Then self defense is dead already!
Ret. Navy SEAL Jonathan Gilliam on Kyle Rittenhouse: ‘Everything He Did Was Textbook Perfect’

Kyle Rittenhouse’s conduct on August 25, 2020, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, was “textbook perfect,” Jonathan Gilliam, retired Navy SEAL, former FBI agent, and author of Sheep No More: The Art of Awareness and Attack Survival, said.
Gilliam stated, “When he had his weapon and he was confronted by these imminent threats of loss of life or serious bodily injury, he engaged in a proper manner to eliminate the threat. You didn’t see him out there hammering people down, mowing people down. It’s when the threat got too close and it posed an imminent threat … he took action.”
Rittenhouse was not “praying and spraying in a total reaction,” Gilliam added. “If you look at who these people were that he actually shot, and what their actions were, and how he was trying to get away, and they came after him, everything he did was textbook perfect.”
“Even when he was on the ground, he was not engaging people unless they engaged him,” he remarked. “It was perfect.”
Rittenhouse’s control of his firearm was “amazing,” Gilliam emphasized. “[He] held his weapon properly … kept his weapon in his hands when he was getting beat [and] when he was running. He wasn’t sweeping people. He didn’t drop his gun, He held onto it and maintained positive control the whole time with his finger off the trigger.”
Leftist riots would have been prevented had thousands of Americans followed Rittenhouse’s example to defend the peace, Gilliam held.
Videos of Rittenhouse shooting his attackers revealed “great weapon-handling skills,” Gilliam concluded.
