The combination includes diphenhydramine, an antihistamine used for allergy symptoms. When paired with lactoferrin, a protein found in cow and human milk, the compounds were found to hinder the SARS-CoV-2 virus during tests in monkey cells and human lung cells.

ConservativeMind, please put me on your list. A contribution is below, in case you haven’t already posted it.
Here’s another very cheap OTC remedy: Zyrtec and Pepcid AC (generics cetirizine and famotidine) taken together significantly reduce severity in patients with COVID who are already having severe symptoms: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32871242/. Read the protocol for dosages. I am sure, because this is how medications work, that if you took this combination at the onset of symptoms or shortly thereafter, your odds of staying out of the hospital are MUCH higher.
That’s why I just bought both of these products! Couldn’t hurt...
Before everyone gets too excited be aware that this study was done in cell culture, not in animals or humans. Big difference.
Benadryl and find a cow or woman that just gave birth within the last 48 hours. Or buy Lactoferrin supplements.

“Careful kid, you’ll put an eye out”
Picture almost makes me want to go back to grade school...
Sounds good.
...and just like that a whole lot of guys become interested in natural remedies over manufactured remedies... Perhaps more study is in order. One theory I'd like to test, is it really the milk or merely close exposure to the delivery mechanism/means? "But honey, it's for science!" ...
Also, driving with diphenhydramine in your system might get the driver a DUI.
Something to keep in mind.
I’m wondering how effective whey protein powder could be as well? There’s a variety of proteins in it as amino acid chains. Plus ingested proteins vs injected Vax spike proteins just a whole lot safer too.
And yet in one of the most well-respected children's hospitals in the country, they routinely gave it to my 6 month old child to help him sleep.
Indeed!
The very same dihydrogen monoxide that literally hides it’s human victims in their own cars for decades. I’ve seen it!
“Lactoferrin is only found in colostrum”
Ok so now I go to TSC for baby calf supplement and horse dewormer. Is there a vet form of benadryl I can pick up at the same time? Should have bought TSC stock months ago.
To be serious I understand is was cell culture only but a “3 log reduction” is big,
Nice find.
Taking Diphenhydramine long term can cause hypertension. But short term shouldn't be a problem.
My understanding is that it causes hypertension when taken long term. So not perfectly harmless, long term.
I take it occasionally for allergies. But only occassionally.
Yes it is harmless for most people. But some people, like my wife, the darn stuff jacks their blood pressure up. Fortunately that’s easy enough to determine for everybody
“I’ll be damn, the Benadryl and Borden’s Protocol. I need to start drinking milk.”
Please, don’t let “Fraud Fauci” know this, he will have all Benadryl and milk pulled from the market. Certainly can’t have such normal things like that cure you. Sarcasm intended.
More than likely, they will have them arrested for prescribing “controlled substances” ...gotta control the availability of cheap, non-patented and OTC medications to make sure the politicians keep getting their bribes from big pharma.
