JOSH Duggar was seen smiling in his mugshot after he was found guilty of child pornography charges.
Duggar, 33, was arrested and charged with receiving and possessing child pornography in April 2021. On Thursday he was found guilty on both counts.
He is now likely to get 10 years in prison, an attorney told The U.S. Sun. Sentencing will come at a later date.
Judge Timothy L Brooks said that he plans to sentence Duggar in four months time.
He added: "Mr Duggar 100 percent has been compliant awaiting trial.
"I appreciate that and I wanted to acknowledge that however because of the guilty offenses he must be detained regardless of flight risk so there will be a mandatory detention. The marshalls will set that up."
After being found guilty of both possessing and receiving child pornography, Josh was ordered straight into custody.

The husband is supposed to be the head of the house... rightfully so, as he “was” the bread winner... but also because he is the strong one... the one the children are supposed to revere.. and the mother is the nurturer.. those rolls have been shot all to :::::: in these later years.

I was a stay at home mother... 5 kids and I was there when they were home and when they needed me. My husband worked sometimes 12 hours a day for most of his life. I took care of the home and when he came home he didn’t have a list of things to do. I was grateful I could be at home raising the kids.
Yes, we gave up things ... money was not plentiful... but today they are adults you’d be proud of.. and they have more money than I ever did.. good jobs.

I’ve heard the adult daughters are “rebellious”, in that, they wear pants now as adults. Which was not allowed for them growing up. Many have their own families now and seem not to be as strict as their parents were, in raising their own children.
I also heard a few have joined other Christian denominations, and left the strict Independent Baptist denomination they were raised in.
Just saying, many of the adult children are making their own decisions about their lives.
From what I’ve heard, people such as the Duggars, and Anna in particular here, believe it is the wife’s duty to satisfy her husband, and that divorce is simply unheard of. And the reason is, if a man has strayed, there’s an assumption that the wife did not take care of him in every way. The wife is said to share blame if her husband isn’t faithful.
The Probation Department has to do a presentence investigation. Plus, there's no rush here-- he will be getting a long sentence, and whatever time he spends locked up before sentencing will be credited against the sentence.
Why is he getting more time than an actual rapist?
(a) I doubt an actual rapist would get less time, but (b) this was a federal trial and Congress imposed very tough sentences on kiddie porn.

Not in federal court. There is no parole in federal cases, so ten years means ten years, subject only to a maximum reduction of 15% for good behavior. So ten years means a minimum of eight and a half years, assuming a perfect disciplinary record in prison.
