Yep, absolutely. There are many forks of the same agenda.
“Nobody can even agree on what eating right is.”
Everyone knows what is right. Natural foods as much as possible with minimum processed or fatty foods.
I lost 60 lbs by cutting out junk food, pop and fried and processed foods. My HBP went away and my blood fat levels are nearing normals from being sky high.
All with no meds.
Just take viagra. A new study shows it prevents Alzheimer’s.
Good for you! That’s quite an accomplishment. However, there is a constant raging debate about nutrition - keto, vegan, polyunsaturated fats are either great or the devil, etc. Just about every food is processed unless you eat it directly off the vine or out of the ground and eat meat and eggs raw.
Um, I’m a gal...
For that matter, nicotine might help prevent Alzheimer’s.
If someone released a paper about dogs after exclusively studying foxes they’d be laughed out of the building. Yet researchers publish papers about humans after studying rats and people accept it.
Very true. There is a lot of bad science out there and the media love to report it as if it were the gospel truth. Scare stories sell.
Processed food, yes. But fats? Not necessarily. It depends on the type of fat. Traditional fats — lard, tallow, naturally occurring fats in fish and meat, butter and cream, etc — are part of a healthy diet. Manmade fats from seed oils are a nutritional disaster. It was shortly after the introduction of these highly processed, hydrogenized products — margarine, Crisco, canola oil, etc, — that heart disease and similar ailments shot up. Remember: the human brain is full of fat, ditto bone marrow.
You’ll have to pry my Crisco coated baked potatoes from my cold dead hands.
What about lettuce and cabbage? Can they eat anything that had a head?
A+++
Much of the industrialization of the American food supply was a product of WWII as the country geared up to feed an army of millions spread across the globe, as well as hungry tens of millions of allies and former enemies. You don't see pre-war pictures of too many fat kids. And even the overweight adults are "solidly" fat, not flabby.
It's possible to have a diet more like our ancestors' but it takes thought and effort. And these Vegan fake meat products and "organic" shelf stable grocery items? Just processing to an even more insane level.
I blame soy milk.
Dementia is entirely due to genetics, not what you eat.
“Dementia is entirely due to genetics, not what you eat”
Sorry, totaly wrong. Genetics does play some part though.
If this were true, then I should have forgotten everything by now.
Hmmmmmmm fried chicken.....!
She is probably an expert on “climate change” and the “multiverse” as well...
I need some for dinner with mashed potatoes and corn.
