Some Kenyans see snakes as cursed, and so poach and capture them for witchcraft rituals. A group has been rescuing the reptiles, helping scientists conduct important biological research.

In Kenya, snakes are considered cursed. Reptiles are poached, with rare animals captured by sorcerers and used in rituals. Those recovered are brought to Nairobi's Snake Park zoo.
