Prince Harry today advised people who feel 'stuck in jobs that don't bring them joy' to quit and said leaving work was something to be 'celebrated', nearly two years after his acrimonious departure from the Royal Family.
The Duke of Sussex, who lives in an £11million mansion in California and has a series of endorsement deals with companies that pay him to represent their brands, said people should leave their jobs to put their happiness first.
The 37-year-old prince's comments may be seen by some as referring to how he and wife Meghan Markle stepped down as senior royals last year and left Britain for North America before claiming his family cut him off financially.
His quotes were published on the same day his brother Prince William's discussions about his own mental health were released in an Apple audio walking tour. William told how his job as an air ambulance helicopter pilot caused him a mental health crisis when he helped to rescue a seriously injured child - but he continued to work in the role.
Harry also said today that the world was at the 'beginning of the mental health awakening' and spoke about 'continuing to pioneer the conversation'. He was speaking in an roundtable interview with US business magazine Fast Company about his role as 'chief impact officer' with California-based mental health start-up BetterUp.
BetterUp is valued at £3billion and Harry's role, which he began in March, includes product strategy, philanthropy, and public advocacy related to mental health. He is also involved in its commitment to 'Pledge 1%' - a movement which encourages companies to donate 1 per cent of equity, staff time, product or profit to their communities.

I know there’s been speculation, but I think we can agree now that Charles is truly Harry’s father.
+1
Hereditary millionaire. Absolutely nailed it.
BUTTER Up.
Now, if we could only get rid of the DC deep state leeches...

Don’t vote for anyone who is not committed to shrinking the governmental behemoth. The bigger government gets the more leeches it draws. We need to shrink the beast.
Walking away from one’ job makes it harder to find another one. It is always easier finding your next job when you already have one. Looking for work after quitting is more of a challenge.
Harry never mentioned that.
Well, there’s this thing called having to pay the bills, etc. that get in the way of that, Harry, and unlike you, most of us don’t have many millions of dollars in the bank.
Astonishingly disconnected from reality.

Most liberals are. But admittedly, he’s living in fantasy land.
The first thing this kid ever said that made any sense. Its a lot easier when you have unlimited wealth but here is some truth to it. For most Americans, “a good job” is that thing you struggle to work in your entire life so that your kids have more shit to throw away when you die.
Duh. I was brought up in a time where you didn’t think work would bring you joy. You hoped it would bring you money. A career was selected based on, in order:
Availability
Earning potential
Personal interest
That’s essentially how it should be today, but we’ve boogered it all up telling idiots to “chase their dreams” and giving out free money.
Even being stuck in a crappy job is better for your mental health than being a welfare suck... or a Royal welfare suck.
Just quit! Anytime you need money, just go to the Queen and ask for some! Super easy and it’s real good for your mental health. Stupid m-fer!
Harry is a hen-pecked, privileged dope
Let’s not short change Dianas contribution here though.
“He’s not wrong that one’s mental health improves when one leaves a bad job situation.”
YUp...BUT one has to ask him or herself: if I quit this sucky job, will I be able to pay my rent the next few months I am out of it? One mostly will be in worse financial condition when compared to your old job that you hate.
Gee, having a job you hate that pays the bills vs Yay Im happy, no stupid boss but heck, now I have to tap into my savings.
How many of us can get a job as some sort of spokesman for some startup, where the work is light and the pay is good, and you follow some dream in doing so?
Must be nice to sit around with his group there, and have these deep discussions about all of that.
First World Problems.
"How to make a million dollars: First, get a million dollars."
The reason someone wants to pay you to do a job is because they need it to get done, and no one is willing to do with without pay.
This should be common sense. Insular idealists try to figure out things to say to appease the infantile side of people and act like they are playing bold hero.
Doesn’t the Falkland Islands or Saint Helena need a new governor? Ideal job for this Winsor\Gotha etc terminate and gold digger wife. He can test out his management theories in those places !
