Yes, the death toll is horrific – if you are a power-hungry totalitarian wannabe looking for an excuse to impose controls on your citizens. Brendan Cole reports for Newsweek:
The World Health Organization (WHO) has said that as of Friday, there have been no fatalities linked to Omicron but warned it could take several weeks to determine how infectious the new COVID-19 variant is.
The WHO's assurance comes as the new variant first detected in South Africa last week has now been recorded in 38 countries. In the United States, at least 29 cases of Omicron across 11 states have been reported.
Yes, Omicron is new, and it is possible that in a few weeks’ time, we will see some deaths attributed to it. Probably in people with other serious conditions. But South Africa, which has reported cases first, sees it as mild.
My hope is that the chicken little response of so many Western governments, using it as an excuse to repress their citizenry, will open a few more eyes to the scam being perpetrated in the name of public health. An even greater hope – one that depends on the track record of harm from Omicron that will unfold in the next couple of months – is that not only will the symptoms be mild, but that Omicron will confer immunity on those who recover. Possibly superior immunity to that provided by the experimental mRNA gene therapies being pushed by many of the same people peddling fear and offering repression.

The only covid variant I’m worried about is the Fauci-variant, as it’s lies mutate daily although they are always pro-control over your life. Democrats and their MSM sycophants push the communist China line but the truth is obvious. China just wants to ‘absorb’ the 25th biggest economy via threats. And I didn’t vote for WHO, Fauci, OSHA, the CDC, or any of these other communist alphabet groups.

Just like with OG covid. Without looking I’ve run across ladder falls, gunshots, motorcycle accidents, car accidents, and a blood alcohol level of 0.55 when 0.08 was state limit...all labeled covid deaths.

Then it occurred to me. Far from a joke, this may be the next thing the scam-demic pushing fascists try. The next "variant" may be a two-fer. Consider, the fear of the original covid ran it's course and was waning...out comes "Delta" and they got their fear reaction and could continue to hold everyone down, push vaxes, etc.
Then we hear a little bit about Mu but not much - probably thought it was too soon. Now Omicron is "the" variant, but it isn't getting much traction. Some, but information about it being the mildest variant yet is leaking out. Probably not going to be effective. Maybe they screwed up by letting Mu pass - set the precedent of ignoring variants.
I'll bet you next or in one or two iterations we'll hear of not one variant, but two big bad variants. We just might get Pi and Rho at the same time. After all, fascists gonna fascist, gotta keep the fear up. If one at a time isn't doing it, try double the trouble. There's vaxes to be pushed, unconstitutional power grabs over business and industry to be had. This virus isn't going to sell itself. That's your freedom in their pockets, go get it...
