But the German deer license story was getting old.
stand still...run...
stand still....run...
You see a deer....I see cutlets.
So, to find this out, who was the lucky researcher that had deer eyeballs transplanted?
If they can see so well why do they keep running out in front of cars?
Huh? To my knowledge the rods and cones in the retina vibrate in a specific bandwidth which determines what light frequencies register in the brain. The brain receives stimuli, not frequencies/photons. The only way this can be determined with a deer, IMO is via trial and error by shining different light wavelengths in the deer's eyes. Then the deer can tell the scientists what light it can see or not see!
Life just became a little more difficult for deer.
Too bad.
That won't work. Deer lie.
Their hearing sucks? Just guessing.
Because we haven't dumped laundry detergent over our cars (yet).
Sounds like a great opportunity to create Hide laundry detergent! Our detergent lets you look like dirt to deer but clean to your family and friends!

Why do deer go into the road?
Image result for why do deer cross the road when cars are coming
In some instances, Flinn says, deer dash into traffic because they are “spooked.” They have incredible hearing and can bound into the road when they think they hear a predator. But the main reason for these collisions is that deer don’t practice safe sex. They are more focused on reproducing than safety.
Was your buddy one of those that used hunters mouth wash, bar soap & toothpaste?
Deer aren’t very smart. I have no less than 5 that I could drop right now. They’re just wandering around my pasture as I bbq.
Seems like I’ve read that detergent residue really shows up, through some military night vision scopes, also...
Scent Killer, is that you?
More likely they can smell it.
You guys are probably too young to remember that “ring around the collar” commercial...?
This made me sort of flash on a newer version of the commercial with an anthropomorphic doe - perhaps sipping a cup of coffee, wearing a house dress - gesturing out the window at a hunter who thinks he’s adequately hidden in tall grass, but visible to her extraordinary eyesight because of the residue left on his clothing from laundry detergent. “What a schmuck!” she exclaims with a chuckle.
Then another hunter - who was visible because of his eyeblinks in another clump of brush but otherwise not that noticeable - rises up while the doe is ridiculing hunters whose wives don’t launder their hunting togs properly, draws a bead, and shoots her. Then a brief ad for a non-residue laundry product rolls while the hunter strides confidently forward and drags his kill out onto the lawn of the anachronistic deer-house (there’s broken glass everywhere from the bullet going through the window), where he methodically cuts her human-style clothing away in preparation for butchering.
What...? That’s good advertising, right there.
I like cammo clothes but in reality they’re not needed for hunting... it’s a sales pitch more than anything. Deer aren’t that elusive and neither are turkey’s. Feral hogs are smarter but you still don’t need all the gear and crap they try to sell you.
Got two turkeys off my back deck this year. One I was in my pajamas and the other one a friend of mine and I were watching TV, saw several turkeys walking down a trail. I said you want one? I gave him the 12 guage, he walked out on the deck and he took that one home.
We watch the deer, bear, bobcats and coyotes... got a good sized 6 point buck I hope to take down before long.

No soap showers and brushed his teeth with salt water for about a week ahead.
Also, anise hard candy when in the field and some foods he did not eat??? I can’t remember.
If he has seen this article he would be washing his clothes to remove any soap.
